Actually the song is much older than They Might Be Giants. I can't seem
to find the original credits at the moment. I'll try to find something
later on.

Original credit given as "written by J. Kennedy and N. Simon, published by
Chappell & Co. ASCAP"...that from the liner notes of "Severe Tire Damage"
(couldn't find my copy of "Flood" anywhere)...dated 1953 according to
http://www.mudslide.net/TMBG/Albums/tmbg-fl.html
