Re: Hip Deep in Evil —Scott Sanburn
Mark & All, (...) They are attempting to make the tick into a real person show? Ugh, the guy doesn't even remotely look like the Tick. Scott "Was watching the Real Tick yesterday" S. -- (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Hip Deep in Evil —Matthew Gerber
(...) WHAT!?!?!? Patrick "Puddy" Warburton is the ONLY person in the acting game who could POSSIBLY be the Tick. I mean...he IS the Tick! Seriously. You've seen him on Dave's World, Seinfeld and those car commercials. He's a big guy, with just the (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Hip Deep in Evil —Scott Sanburn
matthew & All, (...) Yes, read it again. I saw the link, it doesn't look like the Tick. The Tick is HUGE. American Maid and Deflator mouse (If that is him) does not look like the characters either (From the cartoon show, folks, if they referenced (...)          Re: Hip Deep in Evil —Mark Sandlin
(...) The Tick is still quite a bit larger than the other characters. I do think it's a bit silly that you're limiting your opinion to cartoon size characteristics. "American Maid" and "Die Fledermaus" are characters owned by Fox Kids, and for (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Hip Deep in Evil —William R. Ward
(...) Fox Kids? I'm confused. Is The Tick (the cartoon) still on? It used to be on Comedy Central, but I haven't seen it in years. You mean I could have been watching it ALL THIS TIME? *bangs head against wall* --Bill. (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Hip Deep in Evil —Matthew Gerber
(...) I don't believe anyone is showing The Tick:TAS at this moment. There are several tapes, I believe. What Mark was referring to, is that there are new characters in the live action show, similar to characters from TAS, but changed due to (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Hip Deep in Evil —Mark Sandlin
(...) The Tick Animated Series premiered on Fox Kids back in 94 or 95 (I don't recall). It was played Saturday mornings on Fox for a season or two, and then it was cancelled, because Power Rangers had all those toys they needed to sell. Comedy (...)           Re: Hip Deep in Evil —William R. Ward
(...) *phew* I'm relieved. No wait, I'm disappointed. I know, I'm confused! ;-) Whatever. Anyway, the main thing is I am not missing out, though I wish there'd be a way to see it - I loved the animated series. Especially the theme song :-) I've (...)          Re: Hip Deep in Evil —Scott Sanburn
Mark & All, (...) I think it's a bit silly you're getting all defensive. I have seen a bunch of things, whether they have been comic books, video games, or books, that got translated into a film or movies, that are a total waste of film. (...) Ah, I (...)          Re: Hip Deep in Evil —Matthew Gerber
(...) Yes...hence .off-topic.fun <hee-hee> No big deal though...Mark and I are just a bit more giddy about this than you, so no biggie. What I'm really kinda steamed about is that the show is going to be a mid-season replacement...I thought we were (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) So...my brother just walked in from seeing Final Fantasy, and got to see... !!! A TRAILER FOR SPIDER MAN !!! Is anyone else just a little bit jazzed about this, like I am? Has anyone else seen the trailer yet (not the preview trailer...a real (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Hip Deep in Evil —Mark Sandlin
(...) I'm a bit "defensive" because I've watched the pilot episode in its entirety. The show is funny, and true to the flavor of the Tick. Take a bit of assurance from the fact that Ben Edlund is involved with the production. I agree that there have (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) ... (...) Hey Muffin Head, long time no see! (Busy with an online tournament... anyone heard of Unreal, for the Dreamcast? Great fun!) I too watched the pilot.          Re: Hip Deep in Evil —Scott Sanburn
Mark, (...) Ah, I see. Well, I look forward to seeing it, if I get the chance then. The skeptic is always the first out, you see. (...) Good to hear! Scott S. -- (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Hip Deep in Evil —Mark Sandlin
(...) Inasmuch as it's impossible for a human head to look like the "real" Tick, the live action show is quite good. In any case, the REAL Tick must be *read* not *watched.* The cartoon, while still funny, was watered down kid stuff. Go grab some (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Hip Deep in Evil —Scott Sanburn
Mark & All, (...) Well, that's why I said that. Some things in cartoon does not translate to real life, but if tis works out fine, great! (...) I saw the comic books, I think i read one or two of them. Maybe I will look for more of them, but I liked (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
