Man, I have got to re-read all of these, that is, the ones I didn't read the
first time around!

Last summer I picked up the Book of Three because my friend Bryce left it
around. Oops, two summers ago.

One of Lloyd Alexander's one-of-a-kind books is:
The Marvelous Misadventures of Sebastian. Though I liked the Prydain books a
lot, this no-magic tale was weirdly fun.

Which one is that one?  It sounds familiar...


Sebastian is this ordinary guy who goes off in a balloon by accident. There is
the plot about a mysterious Captain who the king is trying to capture, and
Sebastian tries to seek out the Captain too. Other than that (and details it
would be unfair to reveal) I only remember learning what 'barber' used to mean!

(...) I can't remember, but I had a heckuva time finding a copy. It is similar to The Foundling and Coll and his White Pig, in that it tells about Fflewddur Fflam's life before he appeared in the Prydain Chronicles. I think the title had his name in (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
