Re: Merry Christmas from the Libertarian Party

(...) The origin of the word noel or the name "Father Noel?" The word itself is middle English, drawn from the Latin "natalis" or "to be born." (...) Yep, that's who the fat man supposedly is...patron saint of children and seamen, I (...) (26 years ago, 27-Dec-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Merry Christmas from the Libertarian Party

Just come to my mind. Is there a word as "noel" in English or other western languages? I just realized that we call Santa Claus(1) as "Noel Baba" which means "father noel" or "noel father", and I just wondered what is the origin of this name. Selçuk (...)   Re: My ReVUE: 6520

(...) The reason for the regulator is that the tyres on the 540i cannot handle speeds over 155MPH. Change the tyres and then get the regulator removed and you'll have a faster wagon. (26 years ago, 26-Dec-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: My ReVUE: 6520

(...) Well ya, the legal limit in the US generally tops out around 75 or so, Unfortunately Montana has abandoned their "reasonable and prudent speed" limit and switched to 75, I think. 155 is fairly fast for a wagon. (26 years ago, 26-Dec-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: My ReVUE: 6520

(...) It has a speed regulator that does not allow it to go faster. The fastest model available is the M5, but in sedan only, not wagon. (26 years ago, 26-Dec-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Merry Christmas from the Libertarian Party

(...) Hey, this is supposed to be "fun". I often disagree with Larry's politics too, but .fun isn't the place to do it. If you want to argue, take it to .debate. (26 years ago, 25-Dec-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Merry Christmas from the Libertarian Party

(...) Why is it every political party has to get their grimy paws attached to holidays with which they have absolutely no association? For me, this is the sleaziest of actions. (26 years ago, 25-Dec-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) Is Legopalooza next summer ? I should plenty of rancid watermelons by then. Especially since I live in the midst of a prime watermelon growing area.
