    Geez, I just shocked myself. My right hand was on the mouse -- with the mouse cursor in in the Free Agent 'groups' pane -- and I wanted to refresh the messages. Instead of moving the mouse 1 inch and clicking the "Get New Headers in Subscribed (...) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Way back when, I couple years after I learned to type (and will still learning, I guess) I wrote a typing video game which taught the Qwerty keyboard...    My favourite category of PC games is pinball simultors. (Pinball Fantasies is best of all!) As you know, in most of the pinball sim's, you use the space bar to nudge or tilt the table.
