But I always vote for Chris...

Anyway, if I don't like a website, you know what I do?  I never visit it.

And if I never visit it, then I don't care what happens there.

It's like in school--you have the different 'cliques'--if you don't want to
belong to a clique, then don't belong--leave 'em alone to do their own cliquey
things.  Who cares what they do?  They're doing it, and not you.

Maybe it's me, but stating in an open forum that 'those guys over there are
doing something that I don't like' when it has nothing to do with you or the
forum you're posting in is like, well... blatantly idiotic.  I'd go so far as to
say, 'even if those guys over there on a site that I don't care about and never
visit are making fun of me' --hey, honestly, I'll never go over there so why do
I care?  I don't care--they're being the idiots and I refuse to stoop to their
level.

That's how I got thru high school and remained a loyal Star Trek fan and LEGO
builder--I never worried about what others were saying to others about
me--gossips all, and I don't have time for gossips--if someone wants to take pot
shots at me to my face, then we'll get into it.  As for the rest--background
noise that I don't have the time, nor the inclination, to care one whiff about.

All this isn't to say that the folks on Jlug are idiots or talking behind
people's backs.  I happen to actually frequent Jlug because I like the people
that post there and don't see anything wrong with the way they do things 'over
there'.  But it is 'over there' on Jlug ... not 'over here' on LUGNET, until
someone with thin skin and with nothing better to do with one's time than to
upset the apple cart, brings it 'over here', thus causing the very thing that
most of us rally against (and one of the main reasons that LUGNET has become a
virtual ghost town) stupid idiotic threads that get people's knickers in a knot,
started by non-thinking people who should have left things well enough alone, or
at the very least taken up their little issue with Jlug, well, on JLUG and NOT
LUGNET!

At least, that's how I see it.
