I did not complain about LUGNET. I simply commented that participation here is down, and that I hope this forum will return to some semblance of its former self. (Please note that the subject line of my post on that topic was phrased as a question, and not a declarative statement.) It should be obvious that I was doing nothing more than expressing my concern for the continued well-being of one of your favorite forums.

I did not complain about JLUG, either. However I did complain about the public behavior of many of the posters on that board. Reading the threads over there, I had the same kind of reaction that I have whenever I see somebody proudly making a complete @$$ of themself in public. It makes me wonder what kind of horrors they must have suffered during childhood that made them into such damaged adults. So damaged that they don’t show the least bit of remorse after they purposely go out of their way to hurt others.

I do find it enlightening to compare the remarks that people post here with the remarks they post over there. I am glad that the Dr. Jeckyl’s of LUGNET are at least able to contain their inner Mr. Hyde somewhere else, but a number of prominent members of this board have lost all credibility with me simply because they have exposed their ugly innards for all to see. And for that, I thank Janey, as she has surely provided a valuable service to LUGNET by drawing them out in the open.
