MegaBloks announced the license for Mobile Suit Gundam on their Japanese
website today. This doesn’t come as much of a surprise to me, considering
they’ve had Power Rangers for a while, not to mention a few other anime
properties, so they’ve got a relationship with Bandai that Lego doesn’t
have.

I love the idea of boycotting the Mega blok sets but making the models from
Lego.

Go for it, I say! Mega Bloks often posts their instructions online, even for
current sets, so you won’t even have to steal any intellectual property to do
it.
Heck, if LEGO put out any designs that I found interesting enough to borrow, I
would happily do so.
