Thats what I'm thinking. From the darkened picture they have on the
megablocks japan website, I can't see any real special parts... but I'm
wondering how they do the joints.

The Lego Exo-force sets (also some of the creator sets like the T-rex) use
joints that are sort of quite obviously very similar/copied from the the Blok
Bots sets which the Gundam sets appear to use.
