Re: Q re new MB sailing ship...

(...) Yes sort of. There is a special insert into the front of the hull that this connects to. If you push a button on the platform behind the dragon the wings raise and the mouth opens and the red light in the head comes on. (...) Yes 4 or 5 (...)   Q re new MB sailing ship...

Hi guys, I see that the new MB Dragons sets are on the shelves here, but the pics of the grand ship to not give much of an idea of its elements. If anyone had acquired this one: Is the dragon figurehead removeable? Is the hull made up of sections (...) (21 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Shopko Clearance

We found a Pro-Builder fire truck today for $11. They also had some dragon sets but I didn't check the prices. -- Rosemary Regner, PE R Squared Digital Media rose@r2dm.com www.r2dm.com (21 years ago, 30-Aug-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: IBM chooses Mega-Blocks over Lego

(...) Yes all hail Satan. :) The cross burning and zealot referneces were a nice touch. :) Seriously. I'm not burning clones. I just think they do not have a large a place on lugnet or Bricklink as Hop-Frog would like. Lego sites dedicated to Lego (...) (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: IBM chooses Mega-Blocks over Lego

(...) This was me making a bit of a dig. It was in reference to an earlier post. I won't argue that MB :) are getting better and that I have picked up sets and seriously considered buying. I understand the draw of a set heavy with light grey 2x4 (...) (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: IBM chooses Mega-Blocks over Lego

Dave! I think the previous poster may be a.k.a. "MK-Ultra"(?) on bricklink. He's trolling for me here because I mentioned something about clones on the bricklink forum yesterday and I guess that bothered him and Mike P (surprise!). Like some weird (...)   Re: IBM chooses Mega-Blocks over Lego

(...) But if that Coke party (which I would happily attend, being a decades-long fan of that brand) billed itself as "The Friendliest Beverage Party Around,' then it might be a trifle off-putting if many of those Coke-fans expressed ovewhelming (...)   Re: IBM chooses Mega-Blocks over Lego

(...) If you were at a Coke party, for Coke drinkers, planned by Coke drinkers you would most certainly be asked to leave. Would that surprise you or would you refuse to leave and instead spout the virtues of Pepsi to people who are clearly Coke (...) (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Re: MB quality

(...) Interesting test criteria. I wonder how many of the large Lego sets I have built over the years would have passed this test in partially completed states. Come to think of it, there aren't many Lego sets this big, so if you extended them a (...) (21 years ago, 27-Aug-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Color Scheme Questions

Well here is a nice conundrum for everyone. I have 2 color schemes (URL) From a purely artistic stand point the one on the left is superior to the one on the right. The "problem" is the one on the left uses a color only produced by Mega Bloks while (...) (21 years ago, 26-Aug-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Re: MB quality

(...) Obviously, you have to keep taking samples until you agree with me. (...) Then that's unfortunate indeed. In the past, I've insisted that quality is on par with LEGO, but I have to admit that differences certainly exist. The great Sea Wolf (...)   Re: Apocryphal Blacktron re-revisited

(...) Interesting! I like a smooth-ish undersurface for some reason, maybe a for the minimal below-wing profile. I dunno. I tend toward atmospheric-style craft designs, and I guess I've stuck to a format. Maybe that's something to work on for the (...) (21 years ago, 22-Aug-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)
