  New Mega Bloks sets

Apparently not yet available, but here are some new offerings: (URL) especially like the look of the "Code Blue" set. And here's one with no picture as yet: (URL) of the sets are admittedly quite juniorized, but most have a great price:piece ratio, (...) (21 years ago, 11-Jul-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: New Best-Lock Sets

(...) Man oh man I wish that Best-Lock were more directly compatible with LEGO. Some of their designs are so darned clever that it's a crying shame that the parts don't quite fit with the canonical brand. Thanks for the info and the pointer. Dave!   New Best-Lock Sets

Has anyone seen any of the new Best-Lock sets? I picked one up at Target last week. They have new better palm trees, sand bag blocks and new minifigs that look a lot like the new Mega Blok figs. You can look at Get-the-Toys.com to see some of the (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Stikfas?

(...) They look like the would, but they don't. I've picked up a few (I also customize action figures, and I always saw them more as Customizable Action Figures than as a LEGO Clone), and in my experience about the only parts of the equipment that a (...)   Re: Stikfas?

(...) I own the Alpha Male figure and have done some comparisons for my own amusement. Stikfas weapons fit in the hands of classic MegaBloks figures just as snugly as true MegaBloks elements do, but not as well in the hands of Alien Agency or (...)   Re: Stikfas?

(...) *Almost* perfectly, but not quite. I'm sure it's different with some weapons/accessories (haven't tried giving a minifig the knight's stuff, personally), but the guns that come with the Alpha Male soldier guy are a bit loose and floppy, making (...)   Re: Stikfas?

(...) From a friend of mine who owns both, Stikfas weapons fit almost perfectly in minifig hands, almost as if by design. The scales are going to be off since a Stikfa is 3 inches tall, while a minifig is half that, but they will fit just fine. (...) (21 years ago, 30-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Stikfas?

Okay, I was a little quick to post the last one... Here's a picture of the weapons tree: (URL) See how some elements are not so big? -- Hop-Frog (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Stikfas?

Hey: Does anyone know if Stikfas accessories work with Lego? Some accessories would be too large, obviously -- but some looked like they might work. See these example sets: (2 URLs) I saw the knight figure at TRU this evening... -- Hop-Frog (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Fun Playmobil Illustrated Story Site - Just for Klicks!

Recently I was clued in to the existence of a really entertaining Playmobil fan site – (URL) Just for Klicks.> The main attraction on this site is the illustrated story Snowy and the Castle Caulibut Caper. The presentation is comic-book style with (...) (21 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.off-topic.fun, lugnet.animation, FTX)

  Re: Apocryphal Blacktron

(...) I just noticed those detail this morning -- sometimes one has to read the images more than once to fully comprehend their import. In particular, the chin laser armament is brilliant. Great use of that element. And the toes -- just wonderful. (...) (21 years ago, 13-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Re: Apocryphal Blacktron

(...) Yeah, the leg positioning wasn't great, I admit. Each leg is articulated at the hip, knee, and ankle, and the feet have articulated front "toes." I'm not thrilled with the rear leg either, but I cheated and just tweaked the left- and right- (...) (21 years ago, 13-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Apocryphal Blacktron

(...) I really like this MOC, except for the third/hind leg. To me, it just looks like it's dragging. I think it makes me want to see the mech with a tail instead though. BTW, are the knees articulated or not? I couldn't quite tell from the images. (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Bad Deals on New MB Mecha Sets

(...) What about the Eclipse? I have one here tagged with the name "Dave!" on it... I've seen maybe 4 of them since last week at two different stores. -- Hop-Frog (21 years ago, 12-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Mega Bloks and Bandai Join Forces in Japan and Asia

(...) They've already got a license deal involving the Power Rangers--isn't that Saban? I don't know anything about the Gundam-style genre, so I don't know which company owns which properties. Anyway, I'm delighted to see that they plan to market (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Mega Bloks and Bandai Join Forces in Japan and Asia

(...) Ugh. I have some of the former, and I am convinced that it is the harbinger of The End Times. Absolutely awful. Anyway, I naturally second your assertion re: improving MB quality. A recent frenzy of brick-sorting has revealed to me that my (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Apocryphal Blacktron

(...) I've always wondered about a 3 legged mech (sounds like the beginning of a joke), and this has provided an answers. Despite the treasonous medium (jk!), the design is great...very menacing. I wonder if the 'sprinting position' of the legs (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Apocryphal Blacktron

(...) 1. Mech design is not my strong suit 2. Neither is camera placement 3. I didn't take as much time as I'd have liked to pose the legs 4. Yes, all the parts are "real" MegaBloks, with the previously-mentioned issue re: trans-yellow (URL) Dave! (21 years ago, 12-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.space)

Re: Bad Deals on New MB Mecha Sets

(...) Thanks to the heads-up from Hop-Frog, I was fortunate enough to snag a copy of the Optic set during its brief appearance at my local KB Toys. The coolness of this set cannot be overstated; to date, it is hands-down the best mech design to come (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)
