  Woo-hoo! Dover gets it right!

I'm pleased to see that some spark of hope (URL) persists> in Pennsylvania. Regardless of its apologists, Creationism is not science and must never be included in a science curriculum, except perhaps as an example of politically well-connected (...)   Re: Some ground vehicles to be seen in Starship RPG

(...) Wow! I am of course a big fan of clone-based MOCs, but my own designs tend to be Mega Bloks-only. Your creations do a great job of mingling various brands, and MOCs with BTR elements are extremely rare. Part of that is because BTR never quite (...)   Re: A clone of the SAAB Hammerhead.

(...) Well, good news and two points of bad news. Bad news I: I don't think that "eschew" is the word you want to use there, because it implies "escape" from or "avoidance" of your MOC, and why would anyone want to do that? Bad news II: I'm not at (...) (21 years ago, 10-Nov-05, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.space, FTX)

A clone of the SAAB Hammerhead.

Not having the fortitude to post this to .Space as well as .Clone, here is a little (URL) SAAB Hammerhead fighter> that, yes I built a while ago, I hope will eschew (that's a good word, right?) the benefits of Oxford bricks mixed with Lego. (...) I think you have the wrong US administration in place if you're looking for any sense of justice. Or ethics Or any type of moral behaviour. But I could be wrong. Dave K (21 years ago, 8-Nov-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

  Chemical weapons used in Iraq

Now that it's (URL) clear> that the US used chemical incendiary weapons during the abominable siege of Fallujah, is it possible that anyone in this administration, or at any level of military command, will be held accountable?   Re: Could someone get Fred Phelps to shut the heck up?

(...) You know, I too believe that everything happens for a reason, that everything is an element of God's plan. But, I cannot even by the furthest stretch of the imagination see how they came up with that. I guess when a person is filled with hate, (...)   Re: Pirates of the Caribbean license deal!

(...) Oh, those. Yeah, they're not the best, but I'll say this: To me, LEGO BURPS look like nothing more than a deliberate effort to reduce the number of bricks in a set, whereas the Mega Bloks rock-elements at least resemble the rocks that they (...)   Re: Pirates of the Caribbean license deal!

(...) I was thinking of the large blobby shaped "bases" that come with the small sets. Blech! At least a LEGO BURP has regular sides and edges that allow it to be built into something larger. (21 years ago, 3-Nov-05, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean license deal!

Re: Could someone get Fred Phelps to shut the heck up?

(...) What a touching and personal moment, and how sad. LEGO as a symbol of childhood (and, by extension, of innocence) becomes all the more poignant when discussed in context of war. Regardless of one's views on the war in Iraq, the loss of a (...) (21 years ago, 3-Nov-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean license deal!

(...) If by "cool" you mean dirty-looking, not useful for building, and generally ugly then yeah, they might be cool. :) OK, PoC would actually fit the Pyrates style better than if it had been done in LEGO but it still doesn't mean you can build (...)   Could someone get Fred Phelps to shut the heck up?

  Re: A very fast TGV

Interesting calculations. I have come across similar in the model railway world. The question is, do you scale down time as well? Is a minifig second 1/45 of a full size second? After all smaller animals tend to have shorter lifespans, how long does (...) (21 years ago, 2-Nov-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
