Backstops are those black pipes that are connected from the upper machinery (just behind the cabin) to the lower part of the main boom. The prevent the boom to fall backwards. And they are used when the crane removes it's own counterweight (in (...) (23 years ago, 15-Nov-01, to lugnet.modelteam)

Just as the topic title says. I finally have finished my Kobelco CK850 Crawler Crane is scale 1:13. This crane is a mid-range lattice boom crane. I both like the Volvo NH and the Scania T4. As you've mentioned I already built a T144G Scania tipper truck. It was quite easy to build, because I already designed a R144 Scania. Just replaced the cab and add a hood. It's quite simple! The same (...) (23 years ago, 13-Nov-01, to lugnet.modelteam)
