Manchester's Millyard in the news —Edward Welsh
Good coverage of the (URL) Millyard Project> is in the (URL) Telegraph>. (URL) NELUG> played a vital role in the project. Go NELUG! (18 years ago, 30-Nov-06, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX) !!

Re: Manchester's Millyard in the news —Chris Phillips
(...) Wow. The level of architectural detailing in this project is something you usually would only see in MiniLand-scale buildings. My heart practically skipped a beat when I saw the pictures of the project members moving those mill buildings (...) (18 years ago, 30-Nov-06, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Re: Manchester's Millyard in the news —Edward Welsh
(...) Thanks, Chris. There is some video footage in the (URL) NELUG galleries> somewhere of us carrying those buildings--NELUGgers feel free to point out a specific link. Dougls Heuser gave a really nice interview that's up at the Nashua Telegraph (...) (18 years ago, 30-Nov-06, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Re: Manchester's Millyard in the news —Ted Godwin
Any chance someone can capture some of the footage fro the trains and put it up on You Tube? And you can let the Museum people know that my family and I will make it a point to come and visit (and we live on the West Coast!) They might have a (...)           Re: Manchester's Millyard in the news —Christopher Masi
(...) You know, during one of the building phases I wanted to do just that, but we were working on the deck so the illusion of riding the train was lost. During the unveiling, it was just too hectic to find the extra receiver and plug it in to a (...) (18 years ago, 2-Dec-06, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: Manchester's Millyard in the news Erik Varszegi
(...) I was able to capture some video from an engineer mini-fig's POV by strapping my little Nikon to a flatbed car -which luckily is 11-wide whereas our tunnels are 12. Sometime next week when I get back to the office I'll create an account at (...) (18 years ago, 2-Dec-06, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Re: Manchester's Millyard in the news —Chris Phillips
(...) To paraphrase Maxwell Smart (Agent 86), "that's the second longest run of straight 9V track I've ever seen!" These videos are a great way to showcase the size, complexity, and details of this layout. The "out-takes" roll reminds me of a few (...) (18 years ago, 7-Dec-06, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Those are great! I loved the trolley run heading Counter clockwise as it was heading for the ferris wheel which was in motion. Thanks for sharing! (18 years ago, 7-Dec-06, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Re: Manchester's Millyard in the news —Jonathan Lopes
(...) I need to get up there to see this in person. I actually lived within a mile from the Merrimack River (in Mass) in the early 70's. From '74-78 I believe. I remember visiting a firehouse with a tall hose tower on the banks of the river as well (...) (18 years ago, 30-Nov-06, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Re: Sniffing around for a firehouse (Was: Manchester's Millyard in the news) —Jonathan Lopes
Apologies for replying to my own post . . . but, (...) And, there it is: (URL) I think it is a nice looking station. But, rummaging around the firenews website I came across another Haverhill, MA station that I think is just gorgeous! (URL) In my (...)          Re: Sniffing around for a firehouse (Was: Manchester's Millyard in the news) —Tom Duggan
Being a fan of the old style fire stations like these, I must say, this part of the country is probably one of the best areas for the historic fire stations. Where I grew up they had several of these, and the best part is, most of these are now (...) (18 years ago, 30-Nov-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Sniffing around for a firehouse (Was: Manchester's Millyard in the news) —Jonathan Lopes
(...) I agree. The NE has many inspirational firehouses. Cambridge 4 is my favorite from that bunch. Those stations are all huge! Wow! (...) Great firehouse. I have checked that one out many times before. Excellent detailing. (...) That is one cool (...) (18 years ago, 30-Nov-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

(...) That was the first thing I noticed in the pictures, was that Kjeld was there. Amazing work, amazing project. I look forward to seeing it someday! JohnG, GMLTC (18 years ago, 1-Dec-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Manchester's Millyard in the news —Eric Kingsley
(...) Since Teddy posted we have uploaded significantly more images to our Phase IX and Dedication galleries. (URL) the one thing that we just can't seem to show with photos is the sheer scale of this project. It is truely huge in every way (...) (18 years ago, 1-Dec-06, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: Manchester's Millyard in the news —David Eaton
(...) The best I can do is show how a person (and an ISD!) actually compares to the layout as a whole (the map isn't the most up-to-date version, but it's close enough to get the idea) (URL) 97' long and more than 23' wide. Nearly twice the (...) (18 years ago, 1-Dec-06, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: Manchester's Millyard in the news —Chris Phillips
(...) The real question on everybody's mind: how many 1x2x2 classic white windows did it take? I guess now we know why they brought those puppies back into production! (18 years ago, 1-Dec-06, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: Manchester's Millyard in the news —Christopher Masi
(...) [...] (...) How about the number of 1x4x3 white windows frames with white window inserts! (18 years ago, 2-Dec-06, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: Manchester's Millyard in the news —Chris Phillips

How big is a minifig acre? (18 years ago, 2-Dec-06, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: Manchester's Millyard in the news —Chris Phillips
(...) Traditionally, a minifig acre is the amount of land that one minifig and one mini-ox can plow in one day. According to my experiments, a minifig acre is zero square studs. HTH! FUT: off-topic.fun (18 years ago, 2-Dec-06, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Manchester's Millyard in the news —Jonathan Lopes
