| | Does anyone know if Wal-Mart has lowered their clearance prices yet? Does anyone remember their clearance sale pattern, i.e. how long between mark downs. Around here they have the greatest selection of clearance sets, but we recently went from (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

| | | | (...) As of yesterday, only one that I have visited had gone below the 25-30% first round. I believe that to be an instore markdown and not a corporate one. The items there were rather picked over when I got there. Ray (23 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

| | | | (...) I was just 'chat'ing with a friend about this. It was this time last year when Walmart.com had a number of clearance items (i.e. Silver Champion for $28, Railway Express $45). However, it appears that they are holding onto their stock longer (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

When I got home, I noticed that the box sounded funny, too many loose parts moving around, then I noticed the (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

| | | | | (...) I have noticed that Wal-Mart has been carring fewer of the $60 and up sets than they used to in the past, but that Super Wal-Marts (the big 'uns) tend to still stock heavy on LEGO. In my area (So Cal) there are only 3 out of 7 that have decent (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

WalMart management, specifically the toy dept. manager, has complete discretion as to when and amounts of the discounts that will be applied to the toys. Usually the (...) | | | | | | | The part about the red paint is true, at least it was for Toys R Us when I used to dumpster dive. And don't think they toss it out by opening the boxes and tossing the sealed bags, so that even if there's paint spalshed on you can salvage some of (...) | | | | Just FYI - Walmart.com had lowered their clearance (and identified new items) on their website yesterday. Some are 50-60% off, no coupons that I know of, but ebates.com will still give you 2% back on your purchase. Dave Mid-Hudson Valley, NY (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)
