I decided at that point that the error was most likely on the ordering page:
I know that,  if *I* were in Walmart management,  and someone told me that my
company was losing money at a rate of over a million bucks a year due to a
pricing error,  it wouldn't matter whether anyone was on call or not.  I'd be
on the phone to the webmaster,  telling him that he could either come in
*immediately* and fix it,  or come in Monday to pick up his pink slip.

Of course, if the webmaster has to actually *come in* to a physical location
to carry out this fix, something else entirely is broken. :-) But I know
what you mean Ran, and I agree.

Hello all, hopefully some info here will help...

Regarding the price problem, I was told by someone in their Communications
department on Friday that they were trying to check with the "vendor".  That
could either be Lego or their supplier - and it appeared that they could not
contact the vendor over the weekend.  That may be the reason for the delay in
the corrections.  As for the "correct price", it is true that it is still
unknown.  As you know, many retailers have lowered the regular retail on the
Droid Developer Kit to $49.99.  A 50% sale is not uncommon, and would bring the
price to $24.97 (especially with the holidays arriving).

As for ordering while the true price is unknown; WalMart's policy is to honor
the lower price.  I had three agents and someone from Communications tell me
that I would get the lower price.  There were no demands, I simply pointed out
the price discrepancy and asked which was the correct price.  The reason for
the delay was they were having problems placing the order for me the entire
afternoon (server problems).  Now the order is placed, the items have shipped,
but I still do not know which price I have been charged (and whether they will
refund or adjust before charging - my account shows no activity).
