As for people complaining about the black wagon plate, black is a great
color.  Besides, you can easially fake wagon plates.  It's real hard
to fake train doors and windows.  I would like to see the 1x2x3 train
windows in gray, since those make great "doors" too.

I have been on a quest for black wagon plates for a while so I am thrilled
that they are available again.

As I was cutting the grass this afternoon I was thinking about the color
choices (gray and blue) that LEGO has presented us.  The more I thought
about it, the more blue makes sense.  4561, the only train that is readily
available (I know 4565 is still available at S@H, but 4561 is available at
Target, Wal-Mart, TRU, etc) and it is a white, blue, and black train.  By
offering blue windows and doors along with black wagon plates, someone who
purchases 4561 can enhance their train fairly easily.

Could grey (or possibly blue) mean that we will see a new train in 2001 that
carries that color scheme?

(...) Nah: they did both blue and grey because didn't want to be accused of bias toward/against Suth'nahs ;-) I think you probably just completed the explanation: 1. Blue will sell well to people who bought 4561s. 2. Grey will sell well to people (...) (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Yep. If that train is "enhancable" which I dispute. :-) (...) GREAT speculation. Recall that Brad said they would not be starting up lines especially for this, it would need to be taking parts from currently running lines (although I don't (...)
