Re: WB store sale —Tony Priestman
(...) Hey! Here's a neat idea! Why don't they *just sell the stuff they own* If I offered to sell 10 8855s, took the orders, and then said, "Oh, sorry, I haven't got ten.' I would get flamed to a crisp. What annoys me is the incompetence of the (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: WB store sale —James Powell
(...) Yes, but what is at issue is that the sets (certanly some of them!) are still in the catalog, therefore it is reasonable to assume that TLG has the sets still in stock (4561 for example) It cheases me that they would do this, Tom & Larry, keep (...)      (...) I heard Andersen Consulting was at least partially to blame for some of the TRU's online holiday season problems. Anyone know if that's for real? (25 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: WB store sale —Ray Sanders
(...) Its a shame that the WB Store doesn't have a feedback number :) Of course, now I wonder if it should really be called the 'Time/Warner/AOL/Net...MI-Store'. Remember which mega-conglomerate you are dealing with here. Ray (25 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: WB store sale —Tom Stangl
You aren't dealing with that conglomerate YET. The merger won't go through until much later in the year.          Re: WB store sale —Raymond Flournoy
(...) I'm not sure if the smiley means that you don't really want the number, but the phone number for the WB Store is 1.800.289.7900, and the email address for customer service is wbstore@customerserv...email.com.          Re: WB store sale —Ray Sanders
Actually, I was referring to feedback in the ebay sense. I should have said 'a feedback rating'. By now, the WB Store would have quite a few negative feedbacks. For all the problems with ebay, at least you can get some sense of the honesty & (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: WB store sale —Gus Altobello, Jr.
Bizrate sent me a rating inquiry for WB Studio Store. I didn't give them all "1"s. I gave "product representation" a N/A since I never saw product. They have good scores overall, though, never would've suspected how messed up they really are. -gus (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

No... It's a shame that they all went home Tuesday afternoon "because of bad weather"! Yeah, a storm of mad customers calling! :( My 3 extra 8735's and second Indy Storm got cancelled too...      My Exchange Server at work just let me know that my e-mail that I sent out on Wed 1/26 to the address wbstore@customerservicemail.com was undeliverable.         Re: WB store sale —Mike Stanley
(...) Well, come on. Really. Do you think every single place you order from is located in a giant warehouse with acres of merchandise sitting there, just ready to go out?         Re: WB store sale —Larry Pieniazek
Yes, but... Companies that hide behind "we goofed up" are within their rights. They're just not as well regarded as those that stand behind their offers.         Re: WB store sale —Tony Priestman
(...) Ok, I confess, I'm a dangerous idealist. But for a company which sells things, two of its most valuable assets are its inventory and its customers' goodwill.
