Re: 2000 Sets found in the US

I went to the meijers on Sawmill Rd in Columbus. They have all starwars Lego 25%off including the 2000 ones. 8001 for $22.49, 7124 $7.49 on sale. The rest of the new sets were not on file yet. The cashier gave me the a-wing for $7.49 as well, reg (...) (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

Re: 2000 Sets found in the US

(...) Wow, that's amazing. We had done the late-night trek to Meijers (in Grand Rapids, at 28th and Kalamazoo), because a friend told us over dinner that they were having a three-day sale on all Star Wars toys, ending at midnight. They also told us (...) (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Ah-ha! I just saw this week's sale flyer! All Star Wars Lego, 25% off! I'll be going back tomorrow to request a refund of the 25%. :) But then I'll have to decide whether to pocket the savings, or just buy some more... Steve (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Meijers in Grand Rapids

(...) I'm glad to hear this. My wife and I are going to be spending Christmas with her family in Sparta, and I told my wife two days ago that I was going to be making a trip to that very Meijers. (...) Are you sure you're not thinking of the Cascade Meijer, at 28th Street and I-96, instead of the 28th & Kalamazoo Meijer? The K-zoo Meijer is an older store, and while it isn't a *bad* store, it's certainly not going to win any awards. Steve (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Steve Bliss, all around good guy, but resident of an inferior school district, opined on how swell Meijer is: <I snipped it> Meijer rules. And Fred Meijer is aces.
