Re: 6 new bulk packs at S@H

(...) I'm sure they will sell out relatively quickly as there will be a mad AFOL rush to buy "the last production run", but are those LSAH prices really competitive with say Bricklink? There is still a ton of the old colors available on BL right (...) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

Re: 6 new bulk packs at S@H

Anyone noticed that if ordered in bulk, these new items do not qualify for the bulk pricing that applies to most of the brick and plate bulk packs? I think the best suggestion is to vote with you wallet. Don't order any of these and let Lego (...) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: 6 new bulk packs at S@H

(...) Let's see how fast they sell out. Now *there's* a way to send a message. They seem to be available for preorder on S@H now. Vote with your pocketbooks, people. (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

Re: 6 new bulk packs at S@H

(...) --snipped images-- (...) I would guess that these are the six bulk packs that Jake mentioned at Brickfest PDX. He said the run would be 10,000 (?) each, no idea on price. And yes, these would be the old colors, but these would be the last time (...) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.shopping, FTX)

Re: 6 new bulk packs at S@H

2 things that I want to say. Firstly, the plate packs look good, only complaint is that it should have the 6x6 plate. The brick packs are also potentially usefull, only complaint here is the huge number of 2x2,2x3 and 2x4 bricks relative to (...)   Re: 6 new bulk packs at S@H

Hey, Cool, I am glad there will be new items to buy. I highly doubt that they will be old colors. (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.shopping, FTX)

  Duplo Tub

Outpost.com currently lists last year's doorbuster, 5230, at $9.90 (US). (URL) the brief period it was on the shelves, I believe it's MSRP was $20. It's now less than $0.10/piece for Duplo, primarily bricks (including black and ltorange). (...) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: How have the new colors affected your recent buying decisions?

(...) In my case it's a mom-and-pop toy shop. Very old school. You go in and the staff practically begs you to play with the toys or let them show you a magic trick. If you sing along to the chorus of the right song you even get candy. It's a small (...) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: How have the new colors affected your recent buying decisions?

(...) I'll get my mom to help me. ;) (...) Does *pure* mean sold by the LEGO company? Or does *pure* mean manufactured and sold by LEGO? Or does *pure* mean made from ABS by LEGO company? For me it's more the third one than anything. Other than (...) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: How have the new colors affected your recent buying decisions?

(...) Funny, I'm trying to make an effort *to* order from S@H rather than purchasing LEGO, from Walmart especially, to try to cut out the middleman and support TLC. (especially after reading the article Lar posted a while back in off-topic about the (...) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: How have the new colors affected your recent buying decisions?

(...) Yes, they are blister packed, with plastic on both sides. This makes them a bit hard to open but also is quite tamper resistant. (...) No doubt, but it wouldn't be *pure*... :-) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: How have the new colors affected your recent buying decisions?

(...) I don't think it has been mentioned in this thread, so good to point out. I'm trying to be really patient and not order that way. Not for any reason really except to support a local retailer who I know is getting them. They have treated me (...) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: How have the new colors affected your recent buying decisions?

(...) Wouldn't it be nice if this became a strong seller.... even for a couple of years? Maybe some Bionicle-like sales figures.... only with system pieces instead of theme specific parts.   Re: Schaumburg, IL LEGO store P.A.B. inventory (long)

(...) It may vary by state but Burlingon MA waived the tax if I had my purchases shipped out which I did... it was about the same at the dollar amount I was at, but with the convenience of not needing to check luggage to get the stuff home. (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.market.shopping)
