Re: Hats off Winner to Walmart.com & LS@H - Worst Shipping this Holiday!

(...) I actually received my Walmart packages in good shape. While they were not packaged well, Airborne Express must have handeled them well because I received them all without a dent. Who was the shipper they used to send your sets? If it was UPS (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shipping)

Hats off Winner to Walmart.com & LS@H - Worst Shipping this Holiday!

To All, After recieving numerous LEGO shipments from various on-line and retail operations for the past couple of months, Walmart.com & LS@H have the two worst packages I have seen in a long time. Walmart.com - I ordered numerous large sets from (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: Estimated weight for 600 LEGO bricks for shipping

(...) thanks (...) Actually that is it exactly - they wanted me to send $11.00 for shipping even though the auction was "pay actual shipping costs". The guy said that if it was over by much he would refund me the money. I really didn't know how much (...) (24 years ago, 22-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: Estimated weight for 600 LEGO bricks for shipping

(...) Well, an unopened 950 pc box (1857) weighes just an ounce or so short of 3 pounds. But it really depends on what bricks you're talking about. 600 2x6's will weigh more than 600 1x1's. I'd say up to three pounds would be a safe bet. That 950 pc (...) (24 years ago, 22-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shipping)

Estimated weight for 600 LEGO bricks for shipping

Hello- I'm closing a deal on eBay and was trying to see if an estimate for shipping was close. The shipper is in Maryland (Columbia), USA and I'm in Washington. To figure the costs, I need an estimated shipping weight. The auction lot was for ~600 (...) (24 years ago, 21-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: US postal rates going up Jan 7, 2001

(...) A 1.5 lb package would be $3.95. If you use an envelope that says "FLAT RATE", you will pay $3.95 if your package weighs 5 ounces or 5 lbs. Anything that fits in the envelope, regardless of weight, is $3.95. That's why they don't say over 1lb. (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shipping)

(...) Not at one per box! I agree with you Doug, these are about the best way to take up space in boxes when weight is your main concern. I love them and am glad to get them, I use them up on overseas packages faster than I can keep them around, (...) (24 years ago, 25-Nov-00, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: eToys shipping rates - Note the Maximum!

(...) Thanks for pointing this out: I managed to overlook this little tidbit, and made at least one decision to pass on buying a bunch of small sets on closeout because the extra buck apiece made them a lot less attractive. (...) It depends on what you buy, and how many. (...) I assume you bought either the Lightsaber Duel or the Droid Starfighter?-- regularly $5.99?   Re: eToys shipping rates - yuck!

As for kbkids.com, I placed several orders last night, and there was NO shipping charges on any of them. Of course, you'd never know this until going to the checkout screen, as that is the only place it came up. Now, if I actually GET what I ordered (...)   Re: eToys shipping rates - yuck!

You think that's bad, at KB toys online it's $3.00 base plus a $1.50 for each item shipped. It's only really worth it if you buy a couple of big sets at the same time with a decent discount. They have 20% off right now but their prices are 20% (...) (24 years ago, 11-Nov-00, to lugnet.market.shipping, lugnet.market.shopping)
