Here's a link to all the info:
http://www.usps.com/news/2001rate.htm
Here's what will affect buyers and sellers the most:
Priority Mail
Up to 1 lb. $3.50
2 lbs. Flat Rate $3.95
Over 2 lbs., up to 3 lbs. $5.15
Over 3 lbs., up to 4 lbs. $6.35
Over 4 lbs., up to 5 lbs. $7.55
(Rates available up to 70 lbs.)
First-Class Mail
Letter Rate First Ounce $0.34
Additional Ounce $0.21
Card Rate (post cards) $0.20
Insured Mail
Up to $50 $1.10
$50.01 to $100 $2.00
$100.01 to $5,000 $2.00 plus $1.00 per $100
Hmmm...I'm seeing fuzzy rates here. What will a priority package that weighs
1.5 lbs cost? I would guess that $3.95 rate should read 1.1 lbs to 2 lbs?

| (...) A 1.5 lb package would be $3.95. If you use an envelope that says "FLAT RATE", you will pay $3.95 if your package weighs 5 ounces or 5 lbs. Anything that fits in the envelope, regardless of weight, is $3.95. That's why they don't say over 1lb. (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shipping)
