Re: Dutch Jambalaya box round 4 about to start

(...) Did I miss something and you've moved Paul? My impression was that this Jambalaya was for people in The Netherlands... :-) :-) If it is open to folks in the US, I might be interested... Frank (23 years ago, 18-Dec-01, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: International Promo Box status

(...) I'd love to see it, was already wondering what happened to it... I've got a quite nice batch of sets here I could put in it too. Bring her on! :-) (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

With the apparent lack of interest, I'd like the box to come back to me - via Jan-Albert if he is interested, and I will then sit on it until (...)   Re: What is Jambalaya?

(...) It was a good idea that wore down after a while..... sort of like the way you imagine the tires on the Flintstone cars doing. See this link for further details: (URL) (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Technic #2

Hey Frank, What about a system based solely on the new movie, "Pay it forward"? We could send one or more pieces to a registered member of Lugnet, and they inturn could send something from their collection to someone else.... Ha...what a concept. (...)   Re: Technic #2

(...) Your last sentence spells the problem with Jambalaya. Most of the stuff which goes into the boxes are easy to get on eBay or Brickbay, with a known cost and often lower shipping. Plus, you don't have to strain to figure out what a fair trade (...) (23 years ago, 8-Aug-01, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: The *LUG box

(...) I think we'd be interested in it at some point in NC. We don't have sufficiently scheduled meetings to prepare for it, but with a week or two notice, we can probably manage to have a meeting to peruse it.   Re: The *LUG box

*LUG box update (should have happened back in April 2001) The *LUG box is still in the hands of BAYLUG last time I checked. It was passed on to them at the April 2001 LUGOLA meeting.   Re: Technic #2

The only problem with just making this an event based commodity is the simple fact that some of us don't have the liberty of being even remotely close to most events.   Re: Technic #2

(...) I've personally written off Jambalaya. I think it was a neat idea, and it was mostly fun participating, but it was hard to make good trades and feel like it was worthwhile.
