Your last sentence spells the problem with Jambalaya. Most of the stuff
which goes into the boxes are easy to get on eBay or Brickbay, with a
known cost and often lower shipping. Plus, you don't have to strain to
figure out what a fair trade is.

A point system is just a price guide with a non-standard curency. One
problem is coming up with one, and keeping it up to date (it's going to
change over time as parts availability changes).

Unfortunately, it seems that due to folks schedules, it's hard to expect
quicker than a 2 week turnaround, plus several days to a week in
transit. I'm not sure that anything other than delivery confirmation is
worthwhile. Add insurance or other more serious tracking, and you've
increased the shipping cost enough to make it far less worthwhile.

| Hey Frank, What about a system based solely on the new movie, "Pay it forward"? We could send one or more pieces to a registered member of Lugnet, and they inturn could send something from their collection to someone else.... Ha...what a concept. (...)
