Re: General Box #4 ( was Re: General Box #3

Wow, what a mess. So is this the right thread for posting about the real General Box #4? Obviously haven't been many activity postings and I don't always read them myself anyway but here goes. As I stated in the GB #5 thread this box has quite a few (...) (25 years ago, 9-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  RE: General Box #5 (& #4)

GB #4 finally arrived today (UPS was *slow*) so I'll chime in on this subject as well. There's no paper in this one and I'm not adding any. I definitely agree about recent catalogs but I would think older catalogs (and instructions) are likely to (...) (25 years ago, 9-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Junk Box #3

(...) I'll rearrange the list a little and we'll get this box ready to start moving !!! (...) I agree with Basic bricks, though plates I think would be ok.. they are harder to come by in some sizes and if you have to you'd use one banged up just to (...)   Re: Junk Box #3

Count me in Frank... you're all gonna learn what a glutton for punishment I am... :) I would guess that between my son and I we can lighten the box considerably so feel free to weigh it down :) He has been wanting to start an instruction box with (...)   Junk Box #3

Ok, I'll be starting a new Junk Box soon. Unless anyone objects, I suggest the list for Junk Box #2 after me be appended, except I propose inserting Mookie first since she said she has some stuff to contribute. If David Pyatt is still interested in (...) (25 years ago, 9-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: General Box #5

(...) I can agree with this, we need to keep them interesting :) I also agree on the catalogs if they are older ones you have a few extra of and want to contribute those, that's fine. Though anything in the last 3 years I'd have to say everyone's (...) (25 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: General Box #5

Gee Frank, you should have let me know about the miscolored bucket before you mailed me GB#3... I'm a fool for a deal, and I'm looking for some canidates to play LEGO meets a Dremel... (I am anticipating some homebrew pneumatic parts that are going (...) (25 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: General Box #5

(...) Perhaps it's out of place to comment on contributions to the Jambalaya boxes, but I will anywise... I would really rather not see recent catalogs (GB#3 had 3 recent North American catalogs, I pulled them out) or instructions in general. These (...)   Re: General Box #5

I was going to end up with #4 & #5 at the same time, so the box was to skip me, and go to Ken. He then sent it to me, and I of course sent it to you. The box should go on to Matthew. Eric (...) (25 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: General Box #5

Hi all, I just got GB5 a few minutes ago (the second incarnation, right?). It was a little disappointing. It was very light (I know, I know, many of you want them lighter, but I want them heavier.) and thus had fairly small selection. I took out a (...)   Re: GB#3 - Question about splitting or content - Do you need WHEELS?

My son and I liked the looks of a couple of the caster-style wheels (aircraft?) and some of the nostalgic ones like I had when I was his age... but I'm sure we can find something interesting in there when it gets here! The four-bladed props turned (...) (25 years ago, 7-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: GB#3 - Question about splitting or content - Do you need WHEELS?

Ok, looks like I'm going to be pulling out some stuff to send to Larry and Tom, and then sending the box to David, who will send it to Thomas. If there is any problem with this, please speak up by Monday early evening. I will be processing Monday (...) (25 years ago, 7-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: The Weeks box round two - who wants in?

(...) Hey Doug that would be pretty easy! I'd be happy to split postage - is there a UPS close to you (I'm only close to a post office and a FedEx near work :( I'm guessing that UPS will be cheaper, but I guess it depends on the weight of the box (...) Hi all! I think I might want to sign on for the Weeks's latest Jambalaya if it's not too late (I'm in Houston TX and believe me I can get plenty of the edible kind - pretty darn good for being outside of Louisana - now I think I'd like to see some (...)   Re: The Weeks box round two - who wants in?

Please do lighten it, 9 lbs costs an obscene amount to ship unless you trudge to UPS, and even then it isn't cheap. You'd have to find an awful lot of pieces in the box to make it cheaper than an Ebay lot. Up to 8 lbs, USPS is generally cheaper than (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)
