Looking for Troy Cefaratti —Bryan Kinkel
I tried to get in touch with you about parts you sold me that have not arrived. But email sent to legosales@dsl.telocity.com returns with an "user unknown" message. Please get in touch with me at bkinkel@vegadev.com . Thanks - Bryan Kinkel (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Looking for Troy Cefaratti —Troy Cefaratti
Bryan, I am looking into the problem with my e-mail acocunt. Telocity seems to be acting wierd, in that I can SEND mail, but not receive it for some reason. News that it is bouncing back mail is most disturbing. As for your parts, they were sent out (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

(...) I don't use first class for that very reason. My current shipping policy is priority mail with delivery confirmation only, and I don't give the option of not paying for delivery confirmation. If someone *insisted* on first class I might do it (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.market.theory)

And resending things out of my inventory is not a good way to go. Of course, options (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

(...) I'm real curious as to whether these shipments are really going missing. I've received a ton of packages from eBay wins, and the only problems I have had were one package was damaged and lost a bunch of pieces (bad packing, used a soft mailer (...)          Re: Shipping options: WAS: (Re: Looking for Troy Cefaratti) —Bianca Nebab
This sounds a bit suspicious to me. Lost 1st Class packages should be no more common than lost Priority Mail packages because they are basically the same service. The only difference is the weight category. 1st Class is charged by the ounce, while (...) (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

(...) There is a delivery conf available on certain other kinds of non prio mail that uses the same fluoro green barcoded form. It costs more than the 35 cents add on. (85 cents?? I forget) However it's not available for all other kinds of mail. OK, (...) (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

Yes, it was Certified Mail she was talking about. Just got back from the post office to pick up a package. The base fee for CM is $1.40, and basically, they just keep a record at the post office of when and to whom it was delivered. "Larry (...) (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

(...) Not unless the buyer requests (and pays for) it. If the DC package turned up missing the PO supposedly has to account for it, but not cover the loss, I guess. But I've never had a DC package go missing yet so I can't say what actually happens. (...) (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Looking for Troy Cefaratti —Troy Cefaratti
Telocity has seemed to have worked this out. All I got out of them was that the mail server crashed. Should be working fine now. Anyways, I setup a new account at legobricks@hotmail.com as a backup account should something like this happen again in (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Looking for Troy Cefaratti —Bryan Kinkel
Just a follow up on this one. The parts I purchased from Troy arrived in very good shape a few days ago. Due to a small error on the zip code, the package was delayed for a while. I want to publicly commend Troy on his service, packaging and (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
