  Re: ebay rant

(...) I'll second that. I much more prefer to buy from Europe than Canada or the USA. When someone in Europe says the set is in excellent condition, it really is! When someone in North America says that, it only means that the pieces haven't been (...) (23 years ago, 29-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: ebay rant

(...) This is my biggest bug! In all of the non-MISB sets I have purchased, something around 25% is all that are complete or match the auction description (like "complete except missing these specific items", and then more are missing than listed). [FUT lugnet.market.theory] (...) Really? I would have thought that would only apply to commercial sales. It seems stupid for legislation to control private sales like that.   Re: ebay rant

(...) Reread your own message and see if you can determine why I think international is a pain in the butt. Domestic prio just needs to be accurate to 1/2 a pound. I have better than that already with my Pelouze. You want me to go to a postal (...) (23 years ago, 28-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: ebay rant

(...) Shouldn't be a crap shoot in terms of package weight. Letter Post is up to 4 pounds, not insurable. Parcel post is insurable but usually cost prohibitive compared to Letter Post for small packages. The crap shoot is in the package *size*. Some (...)   Re: ebay rant

(...) Food scales don't work well, the platforms are usually too small. I use a Pelouze PE10 postal scale, $84 at OfficeMax.com, they usually have on-line coupons (check FlamingoWorld, I think I ended up paying $50 delivered). Its a 10-lb capacity (...)   Re: ebay rant

(...) Aye, there's the rub. To enter the weight you have to know the weight. Most people don't have more than a bathroom scale at home. I don't even like that much inaccuracy to determine Priority weights to the nearest pound, and it's virtually (...) (23 years ago, 28-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.auction)
