  Re: Discussion Post: Auczilla

(...) No way, you're still my best customer. :) (26 years ago, 17-Dec-98, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Discussion Post: Auczilla

(...) (which pretty much sums up James's (1) whole post, in my opinion) Just as with the eBay threads, JSA is right, as usual. As far as he goes, anyway. However I wonder if our discussion will actually lead to some ideas that Todd can make use of (...) (26 years ago, 17-Dec-98, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Discussion Post: Auczilla

(...) I think that was me. :-) But I was running a very, very small set auction, not a parts auction. Margins are higher on sets, and smaller auctions admit of more personal attention. Both factors contribute to personal updates... Also, I got (...) (26 years ago, 17-Dec-98, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Discussion Post: Auczilla

Sarah started the thread. As a note, I disagree with her but respect her a great deal, consider her a steadfast RTL and LUGNET stalwart who I'd reference any day. On the timeliness issue: I have moved from "gee, I need this piece to build X" to (...) (26 years ago, 17-Dec-98, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Discussion Post: Auczilla

(...) You received regular updates; didn't you save one? (...) I've never experienced a mistake with AucZILLA. If I did, I'm sure it would be corrected immediately. AucZILLA may have a long delivery time, but I feel that is more than compensated for (...) (26 years ago, 17-Dec-98, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Discussion Post: Auczilla

(...) I don't know that anything is "broken" with AucZILLA, I just think that the size of the auction is just far too huge for two people to run with any hope of speed if they actually want to have real lives. I know it took me a matter of weeks to (...) (26 years ago, 16-Dec-98, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Discussion Post: Auczilla

(...) I read the FAQ. I realized shipping times were longer than expected. I still consider 6 months unacceptable turnaround. Another longtimer here who admits to being "very slow" in getting out auction sets STILL managed to keep me up to date/get (...) (26 years ago, 16-Dec-98, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Discussion Post: Auczilla

Perhaps a Princess... ...valid questions... <snip> I started back into Lego just before Auczilla 7 (A7), and was very happy to find out about parts auctions. Here was a way to bulk up on needed pieces without having to buy entire sets. I entered (...) (26 years ago, 16-Dec-98, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Discussion Post: Auczilla

(...) I've only participated in one Auczilla so far, and while I'm a little frustrated by not receiving my winnings so far, I believe that the things that have contributed to that delay more than make up for it. Consider: 1) We're having this (...) (26 years ago, 16-Dec-98, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Discussion Post: Auczilla

(...) As to remembering what I bought, I save the summary email that Todd sends at the end of the auction. List of what I won, how much I paid and so on. Yes, it takes a while to get your stuff from AucZilla, oh well. That's pretty much the way it (...) (26 years ago, 16-Dec-98, to lugnet.market.auction)
