  Re: Tables

(...) Well.. I think I have a hammer... :) I can pound nails and can usually do ok with a power saw and not come away missing fingers or toes or other important body parts... As for availability.. It would have to be next Sunday (16th? or 17th?) or (...) (23 years ago, 7-Sep-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Tables

I'm willing to do the table building after Sept 16. I priced the lumber at Sutherlands, which is not where we should buy it (not the greatest quality), but I figured the prices couldn't be too off, and it was convenient. The price is for the thinner (...) (23 years ago, 7-Sep-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Tables

(...) Sorry, just went back & read your original post on how many tables it makes -- Doh! That is a really good price! I'm in for building tables. I just put a entertainment center together last weekend, so I'm pumped to build tables. :) --Mike. (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Tables

(...) That's not a bad price. Does that make the smaller square table or the bigger retangle table? Was that a better quality of plywood top, or about mid-grade? Where did you price it, if you don't mind me asking? --Mike. (23 years ago, 5-Sep-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Tables

I priced wood this past weekend, and it looks like it will cost about $35 to make one sheet of plywoods worth of tables tops and legs. Carolyn (23 years ago, 4-Sep-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Peasant's cottage

(...) Well, the roof on the "first house" picture looks a lot like Chris Maddison's roof. The roof on your newer houses looks like a cross between his and Kyle Peterson's roof. Is it movable? (Chris' roof is very play-oriented while Kyle's is (...) (23 years ago, 2-Sep-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Tables

As I promised to at the last meeting, I finally looked up PNLTC’s table plans and they are very easy looking. I do have the tools needed to build them. I would be interested in some sort of joint building venture. For each 4x8’ sheet of 3/8’ (...) (23 years ago, 31-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: next get together?

I'm booked up through Suday, Sept. 16, but am OK for after that. We could use my house to meet if nobody comes up with a meeting room. Carolyn (...) (23 years ago, 31-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: next get together?

(...) Probably should.. ;) Due to impending vacation plans for the 22nd-29th of Sept, I have no clear idea of what my schedule will be after this weekend (which is booked due to the holiday). Why don't the rest of you plan when would work for you, (...) (23 years ago, 31-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Newbie in Cinti

(...) Hi John. Feel free to contact me via e-mail if you want to talk about Lego. (23 years ago, 30-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)

  next get together?

So, should we start thinking about the next get together? or maybe a demo or something? (23 years ago, 29-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Peasant's cottage

(...) Thanks. The removeable roof idea was actually borrowed from a friend of mine. The moveable wall idea didn't hit me until after I rebuilt the first house to add windows. I used a small black plate hinge, because I didn't have any in tan or (...) (23 years ago, 29-Aug-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Peasant's cottage

(...) No, nothing missed. In the back of my head, I've been thinking about a Santa castle display with Christmas train to go around the tree this year (with the way I build, I should have started last spring on it). The twins were to be Santa's (...) (23 years ago, 29-Aug-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Peasant's cottage

(...) Did I miss something? Why does the second one have green hair? (...) The new ones are quite nice. Don't be suprised if mine look a little like yours - since I've decided that the *small* ones I've been building are unsatisfactory. :) Tanya (23 years ago, 29-Aug-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Newbie in Cinti

(...) Yeah, I'm from Cincinnati. My name is John Berg. I'm not a member, don't have very many sets or MOCs, but LEGOs are one of my main hobbies. -john (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)

  Re: Peasant's cottage

(...) Michael - Those are all sweet! I like the accessbility you built into the houses. I mean what good is having a house that is detailed (1) if you can't .see. the detail inside, right? For some reason, I really like the maiden with the tan (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Newbie in Cinti

Are there any groups in Cincinnati? Is there anyone in Cincinnati interested in talking about Legos? (If this is in the wrong area, please forgive my ignorance.) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)

  Peasant's cottage

Since my terrible attempt at making a peasant's cottage [1] for our Columbus gathering, earlier this month: (URL) decided to rebuild it, add windows, clean up the color scheme, then create a 2nd one with a loft & moveable wall to better get at the (...)   Re: Sunday gathering at Michael's place.

(...) I still think that Marcon[1] would be an appropriate event to try this for, like the display MichLUG did at Contraption. We (the Marcon concom) are having our first meeting for planning the '02 con in a few weeks; I'll float the idea past our (...)
