A Colorado Get-Together (Was: Re: How about a Brickfest West?)

(...) I waited two weeks hoping that some other locals would chime in, but so far it doesn't look like anyone is going to. I'm not free until late August either, but I'm hoping we can get some more people involved so maybe we should shoot for (...) (23 years ago, 3-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co, lugnet.loc.us.co.cos)

  Cheap Lego in Colorado

Hi. I'm not sure if these prices are down in the springs as well, but if someone down there happens to have come to Denver, this might be useful. I went to the Wal Mart just east of Hampden and Santa Fe, and found the technic battle droid on sale (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co)

Re: How about a Brickfest West?

(...) <snip> (...) Well, I would be willing to come down on a Saturday or Sunday one weekend. Unfortunately, my weekends are a little limited until late August. Are there any others reading who would like to chime in? -Duane (trimmed it down to just (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co)

Re: How about a Brickfest West?

<snip - lots of stuff about Denver International Airport> My point is that DIA is now more functional than Stapledon was for a Colorado resident (now just a former resident). It has better access to points beyond Denver. It relieves some stress on (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co)

In lugnet.events, Duane Hess writes: - snip - (...) Vegas would be great, IMO. Are there many AFOLs there who could help with local planning? (...)   Re: How about a Brickfest West?

(...) Being close to the city was what made it *good*. (...) Can't comment on that one, not a local. (...) Roads can be fixed easier than building a whole new airport. (...) Which cost how much to build? Has any one run some numbers on how much fuel (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co)

Re: How about a Brickfest West?

(...) There is no denying that DIA got off to a bad start, which is most likely why people still talk bad about it. Personally, I like DIA. The only problem I've ever had was the tram thing not working once, but it was fixed within about 10 minutes. (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co)

Re: How about a Brickfest West?

(...) Yeah, whatever. I have flown out of all 4 of the major Front Range airports for 16 years now, and DIA is the nicest one yet, now that it is fully operational. The old one was too close to the city, too close to the Colorado Springs airport, (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co)

Sale on Lego at Wal Mart

Hi. Going to the Walmart in Lakewood, I found that they had a few sets on sale as well. Most were small ones, but the Technic big C-3PO was on sale for $27.00. That's pretty good, given as it usually goes for 35.00. It's not on sale, but as it (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co)

  Sale on Lego at Target

Hi all. Well, I got a tax refund in the mail yesterday, and so my wife and I went off to Target to look over Lego and some other household usefuls. And when we got there, we found a number of sets on sale. The big savings was on the Adventurer's (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co.den)

FOTM/LOTM (Loss of the Month) Some thoughts...

After getting into LEGO again this year, there has been one set I have been wanting more than any other: Fort LEGOREDO (6769) Unlike many dark-agers, I wasn't lucky enough to have had my collection stuck in an attic somewhere. My collection, which I (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jul-01, to lugnet.western, lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.co.cos) !!

Hi Duane, I'll let you know when i have the schedule of all the things to do (for my work). Later today (it's 16:21 overhere) i'll hear more otherwise next week. Would be cool to go 'hunting' for legos with you... :-) Gerard (...) (23 years ago, 27-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co.den)

Re: Any good shops and/or deals in denver?

(...) Unfortunately, I don't know of any good deals in the area at the moment. I will try to catch the ads in the Sunday paper for that week. That's where I get my information from. If you have free time, let me know. I may go lego hunting with you. (...) (23 years ago, 27-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co.den)

Any good shops and/or deals in denver?

Hi, I'll be in Denver on the 9th and 10th of may, and i'm hoping to go lego-shopping. Can someone tell me where to get any good deals? I'm mainly interested in trains, castle, technic and mindstorms (but offcourse all lego is 'welcome')... Please (...) (23 years ago, 27-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co.den)

  Re: How is everyone?

(...) It's been over a month since I last checked this group... whoops. Ah well, anyway, I can't really help you with the medical related stuff... All I've got is one stretcher "wheel" and a couple of white brief cases (no markings.) I don't have (...) (23 years ago, 10-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co.cos)

  Re: How is everyone?

(...) OK. I counted last night and I have four stretchers complete with the fold-down wheels. I could find no doctor or nurse figures to trade, but I did find four green minifig leg sets. They were paired with three forestmen (I think - it's not my (...) (24 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co.cos)

  Re: How is everyone?

(...) I'll have to check the minifig stash to see what I have for the doctor types. The stretchers are what I know I have an excess of (I will have to check to see just how many I can part with). As far as what I want in return, I'll have to give it (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co.cos)

  Re: How is everyone?

I have very little when it comes to plant life. Is there anything else you would be interested in? I don't get up to Denver much, so USPS would probably be the best way to go (unless you come down to the 'Springs every once in a while). Do you have (...)   Re: How is everyone?

(...) I have a few stretchers (not sure how many at the moment) that I would be willing to part with if you are in the mood to come up to north Denver. I would also be willing to swap them for some plant life (flowers mostly) if you have any to (...) (24 years ago, 13-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.us.co.cos)
