Latest posters at the station indicate these works are still on-going for the weekend. Services to Portsmouth and Southsea are suspended, services to Portsmouth Harbour are running but re-timed. (So if its a slow stopping service its probably not (...) (21 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.uk)

I can already see a PERFECT use for the Pod's from these sets, Town, Train layouts, Carnival rides!!! the teacup, the overhead Tram, perfect thing to be controlled by Mindstorm RCX bricks... The 4 X-Pod sets (4346 to 4349) are now on sale in the UK The "pod" is a three part carry case and can be built with. The top and bottom resemble 10 stud diameter radar dishes, while the middle is three bricks high, clear, with studs on the bottom. (...)
