FWIW, my concerns about fest IV are that we are in danger of spreading
ourselves too thin. I would imagine there's plenty to keep us busy just with
trains. However, that might not suit everyone. But in my own mind, the theme
for Redditch is 'trainfest' (as well as all the swapping of course). Perhaps
we could defer the totem pole and/or space base themes till a later fest
when there's plenty of notice for all to contribute?

Phil.
Simon: I can contribute a 4.5v and/or 12v marshalling yard, and also hope to
make a display of early M/B train sets. Sorry, can't do 9v. LMK.

Well, I asked if anyone was doing anything a week or so ago, and got no
replies, so I was thinking that it wasn't going to happen.

From my point of view, 'I will if you will' :-)

Let's say:

* A footprint of 32x32 or smaller.

* The top & bottom to be at least two studs thick,

* and the top to be liberally sprinkled with tiles, so that we can get
the sections apart again.

Any more for any more?

Is the totem pole a go-er then?

I have just made something fairly interesting out of bits from 4 x 7171 • that
I could adapt into a pole section.

If so, what's the interface specification?

Huw

This is a v. good point, which I'm happy to go along with. I quite like the idea of a Towerfest, on a nice warm summer day, outside, small boys playing in the park, jumpers for goalposts... ;-) On Wed, 1 Mar 2000, Phil Traviss (...) (24 years ago, 1-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) I don't mind what happens with the Totem Pole - I decided to distance myself from that one, the space base is only going to be small anyway - just to display a few MOCs. I agree that we are in danger of spreading ourselves too thin. (...) That (...) (24 years ago, 1-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)
