Lego Fun Day in Waterstones Piccadilly

Don't know if anyone's in London or near enough to go to this. (It's just off Piccadilly Circus heading West.) "October 2 1999, Children's Day Dorling Kindersley Lego Funday 12pm-4pm Celebrate Lego at Waterstone's Piccadilly. An afternoon of Lego (...) (26 years ago, 22-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Looking for pneumatics and Technics beams

(...) Langleys in the centre of Norwich (not that close to UEA but not too far either) has sometimes got spares packs of pneumatics, but not at the moment. There should be a spares catalogue on the web somewhere, if not get in touch privately and I (...) (26 years ago, 22-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: First post after the event!

Hi all, I'm slowly getting back to normal after the 'fest, i.e. I'm running late! Anyway, my thanks indeed to everyone who attended and helped to make it one of my best weekends ever 8-) I came out of it with some wonderful old hard-to-find pieces, (...)   Looking for pneumatics and Technics beams

Where in the UK can I get pneumatic components and some dozens of long Technics beams? For the beams I could just buy a model kit (which one would be best value for this?), but the pneumatics are more of a problem. From (URL) what I want is several (...)   Re: First post after the event!

Yes I'll second that for you hosting the next event. I think there's enough of us in the North West now. I may even be able to round up a couple of Lego-oriented non-web friends for a more local event. But stop going on about how good it was later (...) (26 years ago, 21-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: First post after the event!

I had to get up at 0445 to enable an 0600 check-in and 0700 flight from Prestwick to Stansted. Chris Dee had offered a lift from there to Jon's, and was waiting at the airport on my arrival. We arrived at Jon's at 0935. What followed was 14 hours (...) (26 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Jambalaya box on its way again...

I finally got the box posted off (to Michael Edwards) yesterday. I think it weighed 1.6kg. It couldn't therefore go 2nd class, so I sent it as a parcel. Postage was £3.50-ish. I put the technic in as noted by e-mail as well at the other stuff I (...) (26 years ago, 19-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
