Just got back home from my trip a couple of days ago, so I will add my 2c worth even if it is rather after the fact! The Scottish Legofest was a great way to start my holiday - I hardly felt jetlagged at all the whole afternoon (until I just missed (...) (26 years ago, 5-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

I succumbed to the joy of Znap today and bought my first set for the bargain price of UKP 7.50; that's either -UKP 8 for a motor or a lot for some black plastic. The 8448 has a slot to insert the new technic gear motor and the instructions and the end of the 2nd book show a stand which lifts the rear wheels so that the motor can drive them and you can shift through the gears, watch the wheels change speed (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

I got to the shop just before its 1:00pm opening yesterday. An 8' tall Bat Lord was wandering around in the mall, while a number of shop assistants were enticing the young (and not so young) with LEGO bricks imprinted with "August 1999" - not (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
