S'ok. Thanks for providing the names. As it happens it didn't waste any of
my time - I just looked at the message, recognised a few numbers, but
thought, I can't be bothered looking up the others. :)
I think it is important to provide the names - even if you think only
people interested in the theme you are talking about will want to read
the message. For a start only giving the numbers makes postings start to
look a bit cliquey, and is likely to put off people who are new to lugnet.
People just coming out of the dark ages are very unlikely to be familiar with
the numbers. And I'm sure other people aren't either.
For example I've been consistently
interested in Lego for 2 years. However the only numbers I know are the ones
that are always coming up in discussions (like the 2150 retro station).
Before I started reading lugnet 6 months ago I had absolutely no reason to
know the set numbers - and even now I enjoy looking at the Lego itself a lot
more than at the set numbers :)
This posting isn't really aimed specifically at you btw - a lot of other
people do the same thing.
Impressive collection, you've got!

| Actually, I only expected those interested in Lego trains AND the LEGOFest to read on, given the title. I do realise that I could have been more helpful. I'm sorry that it resulted in 10 minutes of wasted time for you, but most Lego train fans (...) (25 years ago, 1-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
