(...) MECHES? AFAIK the import tax on toys is only 17% (I checked it when I started buying Lego on ebay) hardly enough to explain the 100-200% markup we're used to pay in Israel. (...) The facts are we can't get in Israel Legends, MOCs, Mindstorms and the way things going this year most of the shops here brings cheap Chinese (...) Few weeks ago, Ha’ir magazine also had a big article about this exhibition, with photos of the seven ‘sets’, and about the Jewish(!) artist, Alan Schechner. According to the article, Lego agreed to allow Schechner to do some art work with Lego logo (...) (24 years ago, 23-Mar-02, to lugnet.loc.il)
