Largest Lego collection in Canada —Andrew Keeping
I'm moving into a new house in a couple of months and plan to do an inventory and organization of my collection at that time. Anyway, this got me thinking. I wonder who has the largest collection of Lego in Canada? This could be broken down into two (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Largest Lego collection in Canada —Adam Murtha
I don't know for sure, but checking the set lists for the LUGNET members in Canada, the top people are: James Brown with 117554 pieces and 707 sets. Eric Lanteigne with 115750 pieces and 520 sets Jeff Shiner with 87960 pieces and 728 sets. Jean-Marc (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Largest Lego collection in Canada —James Brown
(...) Wow. I didn't think I'd top the list! There's gotta be folks out there with more than me. As per your note below, my Lugnet piece count is less than what I've actually got - I estimate 150,000+, but I really have no idea how much the "+" is... (...)          Re: Largest Lego collection in Canada —Kyle D. Jackson
(...) Woo-HOO!! I made the Top 5! Although not something I should be proud of I guess ;] Actually, if you count the sets I have in the for sale column, I go over 50,000. (...) As well some of the sets in the LUGNET database have no piece counts. So (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Largest Lego collection in Canada —Frank Filz
(...) Is there some trick to getting these numbers? I'm not sure how much you can rely on this type of thing. I suspect that many of the largest collections aren't represented. For example, my listing shows a mere 5838 pieces, whereas my catalog (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Largest Lego collection in Canada —Adam Murtha
I took the numbers straight from each of the person's set list in their LUGNET member page. And I do agree that those numbers are not likely the most accurate, and I did mention that in my post, but those were the most easily accessable numbers that (...)         Re: Largest Lego collection in Canada —Andrew Keeping
Well it's been more than 2 1/2 years since my original posting but I've finally got a good idea of just how large my collection of Lego sets just is. It ended up taking one full room in my house with a bit of overflow into a second room. I actually (...) (21 years ago, 6-Mar-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Largest Lego collection in Canada —Tim Strutt
(...) Well, you got me beat by a long shot. What I've managed to keep track of on LUGNET shows: Total LEGO pieces - 104,479 Total sets - 723 Unique sets - 401 Similarly, my collection also is entirely from the last 8 years. I've got a rubbermaid (...) (21 years ago, 6-Mar-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Largest Lego collection in Canada —Kyle D. Jackson
G'day folks, Well, I'm holding at just over 75 000 pieces in about 450 sets right now. That's only about 50% larger than it was for Andrew's original post 2.5 years ago. I haven't really bought or sold anything since summer 2001 due to a bunch of (...) (21 years ago, 7-Mar-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Largest Lego collection in Canada —Kevin Dixon
Well here is my count. I have kept a fairly detailed spreadsheet since I came out of my dark ages about 4 years ago. It has everything except bricklink/ebay loose parts purchases/trades, so it is fairly accurate: Total LEGO pieces: 162860 Total (...) (21 years ago, 10-Mar-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Largest Lego collection in Canada —James Powell
(...) A world of lackies & tools. I have (at last count) 239 811 pieces from sets 467 unique sets 1563 sets total I think that total is a little low, even for me. I don't have the largest collection here in Victoria, someone else has 330 000 + (...) (21 years ago, 20-Mar-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Largest Lego collection in Canada —Chris Gray
(...) My numbers are questionable (kept in a text file which I update when I get new stuff, but I think it could easily be 10 - 20% out). It shows 144,000 Lego pieces from 587 sets. I also have 69,000 MegaBloks pieces including 63 sets, and 1050 (...) (21 years ago, 7-Mar-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Largest Lego collection in Canada —James Brown
(...) Hmm. Curiosity had me go through and update my set list, and poke at my collection. (URL) 186,000 over 1000 sets, roughly, according to what I've put into the guide, which is a conservative low estimate. Adding in things from drafts, auctions, (...)         Re: Largest Lego collection in Canada —Benjamin Medinets
(...) <snippage> According to my Lugnet list it shows that I am at: 147,050 pieces 872 total sets and I'm not sure at total unique sets. I don't find this one particularly interesting or important stat. But total pieces listed by Lugnet is really a (...) (21 years ago, 8-Mar-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)
