Well here is my count. I have kept a fairly detailed spreadsheet since I came
out of my dark ages about 4 years ago. It has everything except bricklink/ebay
loose parts purchases/trades, so it is fairly accurate:
Total LEGO pieces: 162860
Total sets: 1202
Total unique sets: 528
That doesn't put me anywhere near the top, but it is a decent size collection.

| (...) A world of lackies & tools. I have (at last count) 239 811 pieces from sets 467 unique sets 1563 sets total I think that total is a little low, even for me. I don't have the largest collection here in Victoria, someone else has 330 000 + (...) (21 years ago, 20-Mar-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)
