  Re: VicLUG Dead or Alive?

Thanks for replying! :) As you can see by the delay in my response this is a bad time for all concerned with holidays and summer chaos. I spoke to a guy from the train show and he suggested setting up a static info/recruitment booth was probably a (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.viclug, lugnet.loc.ca.bc.vic)

Re: Canada shop.lego.com now in Canuck-bucks

(...) Mine just shipped as well. The invoice for Cdn$ should look like this: QTY ITEM DESCRIPTION CAD AMOUNT ***...*** 1 1015246 MAERSK SEALAND CONTAINER 94.99 Products 94.99 Tax 14.25 Postage & Handling 9.95 ***...*** Total 119.19 KDJ ___...___ (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Canada shop.lego.com now in Canuck-bucks

(...) Following up on my own article, I've now received a ship notice for 10152. The price is listed as $94.99, hopefully Canadian. So, either the automatic re-order happened, or someone did something on my behalf. If so, thanks! :-) (20 years ago, 23-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Canada shop.lego.com now in Canuck-bucks

(...) I got an email from S@H that said my order for 10152 was cancelled, but I've seen nothing about it getting re-done. Logging on to S@H just shows it as cancelled. Perhaps I have to manually re-order. Anyone get the automatic cancellation and (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Canada shop.lego.com now in Canuck-bucks

(...) Not really, just do what I did. I emailed them and asked about the new pricing. They cancelled my standing back-order for a 10152 in US$, and replaced it with a new order based on the Cdn$ price. The new order is Cdn$119.19 rather than (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: VicLUG Dead or Alive?

(...) Probably C. However, count me out until at least Aug 3 or 4th. After that, I am once again available. If you want to take over organization, I am more than happy to pass the buck (er torch) to you. If there are events, I will try to make it (...)   Re: Toys R US sale...

(...) Ottawa's been Sopwith-less for a while now. I think they all disappeared when the prices hit $30. Are you in St.Cath? Your member page still shows you as a Kentuckyan. KDJ ___...___ LUGNETer #203, Ontario, Canada (20 years ago, 20-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Toys R US sale...

(...) Just a note: I actually physically went to Toys R US today to check things out. There were still a few Cloud Cars there (about a handfull at most) but there were no more Sopwith Camels. I see my Toys R Us is (still) clearing out the old Alpha (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Canada shop.lego.com now in Canuck-bucks

(...) Sorry, replying to myself again... According to the Customs Notices on the Canada Border website, all provinces should be charging GST+PST, or HST, for all imported toys. That includes B.C., by the way. ;] None of the provinces have an (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Toys R US sale...

I'm not quite sure how extensive this sale is for, but I seen that the new Strata Tubs are $20 CDN ($10 off). I think most Toys R US are still trying to clear their remaining Cloud Cars (3.99 CDN) and Sopwith Camels ($19.99 CDN) among some of the (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Canada shop.lego.com now in Canuck-bucks

(...) If that is true, then there is something seriously messed up. Since LEGO is not made in Canada, all provinces should have to pay full taxes as if it were bought in their home province. I can't think of any reason why some provinces would have (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Canada shop.lego.com now in Canuck-bucks

(...) Again, those brokerage fees were already included in the Shipping & Handling costs. Another post I made yesterday apparently got buggered up and appeared simply as me quoting myself. What it was supposed to say, was I had to correct an earlier (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Canada shop.lego.com now in Canuck-bucks

(...) Yes, but that fee was already baked into the Shipping & Handling you were paying when the prices were in US$. That's what I'm trying to point out. All fees (taxes and brokerage) were already being paid when the prices were in US$. None of that (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  VicLUG Dead or Alive?

OK, so I would like to meet up with other AFOL's in Victoria and maybe even set up a display at the Model Railroad Show in September. But before I do I need to know which of the following is true: a) VicLUG is dead and if I want to play with the (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jun-04, to lugnet.org.ca.viclug, lugnet.loc.ca.bc.vic)

Re: Canada shop.lego.com now in Canuck-bucks

(...) Ahh, I'm in BC so that's probably why I only have the 7% GST. (...) Honestly, I don't think it's worth the effort because the cost of shipping from BC (for example) to Ontario might be equal to or more than the price you get charged for PST. (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Announcing Canadian changes to Shop At Home!

Re: Canada shop.lego.com now in Canuck-bucks

(...) Are you in Ontario or the Atlantic provinces? People outside those provinces only get charged 7% GST. Anyone willing to take Lego shipments and re-ship them to Ontario for a small premium? Or is there any places eg. Mailboxes etc. that will do (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Canada shop.lego.com now in Canuck-bucks

(...) Are you sure about that? I just looked at an invoice from May and I only got charged 7% GST. Apart from shipping, there was no other amount added to my invoice... -Bryan (20 years ago, 18-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)
