  Re: Toys r Us Clearance

(...) It should work like that, yup. They ran through all of Derek's purchases at once and checked in the three buckets and they all went through reimbursed free. We ran out of free buckets in the store we were at :) Calum (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Toys r Us Clearance

(...) Do you mean that I could have 3 free buckets with the tantive + one mini? If so I'm gonna go back and try! JM (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Toys r Us Clearance

(...) You don't need to split them! The system automatically allows for it, at least at the TRUs in Toronto. (...) If someone would like to sell/trade me four of the long grey slope wedges from this set, I would really appreciate it. I got: 7153 (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Toys r Us Clearance

(...) This is a VERY dangerous thing. We did the same sale today in Toronto with Derek Raycraft and John Guerquin. Another Lego fan means increased spending. The guilt disappears when you have some else with the same vices. :) It's like smokers (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Toys r Us Clearance

(...) Gail you forgot to mention that by splitting the bills every $50 you got 5 free 500 pieces buckets... Thanks to my wife who read the heads-up message, she "draged" me to the TRU (I didn't resist too much though... ;~)) I got 7 free 500 pieces (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Toys r Us Clearance

(...) Wow....Wow....Wow. All SW LEGO at 50% off (except the stuff already marked down, that was 75% off total). Jean-Marc was kind enough to give me a ride to the only TRU in the province this evening. The first time I've shopped with another AFOL. (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Toys r Us Clearance

(...) I ran... I ran... I bought... I bought. :) (...) My haul was one Yoda, 2 cloud cars, 1 Final Duel II, and two Star Wars minis. Just enough to get the free 500 piece bucket. So all of that for less than $68 tax included! Probably my most (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Toys r Us Clearance

(...) Thanks for the heads up on the sale. I rushed right over and even bumped into another AFOL from ParLUGment as I rushed in. The other AFOL picked up the Rebel Blockade Runner for 50% off as well as the Yoda which I also got for 75% off. Sweet (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Toys r Us Clearance

(...) Run to TRU Canada! I went to the TRU in Kitchener, ON today to think about buying the UCS Yoda (for parts) because you would get a free large Creator bucket. When I got there they were on for half of the $84.95 ($42.48) in addition to almost (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Toys r Us Clearance

Hey Folks, Was reading FBTB last night and came across a post regarding this subject. Same sets as before however UCS Yoda is half price (84.95). Great way to build that tan inventory! John Battcock (21 years ago, 14-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Pictures from VLC Surrey Museum Show

(...) Wow. Doing a period layout is just too cool. We (MichLUG) have talked about it, but that conversation has never gone far. I also really like the track layout going all over the place. Neat. The fact that the layout was able to get away from (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.trains)

Re: Pictures from VLC Surrey Museum Show

(...) Now that is really impressive. The pictures look great, but I would love to be able to set up an RCX controlled layout with reversing loops, etc. Now, if I could just afford those RCX's... :-( BTW, my compliments on the layout. Wonderful job. (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.trains)

Re: Pictures from VLC Surrey Museum Show

(...) You missed the best part. The fact that this layout has TWO reversing loops and a shared line! (URL) an overview of the layout. You'll notice the figure eight line shares the tressle bridge with the main line. I used 3 RCX's with my custom (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Pictures from VLC Surrey Museum Show

(...) Hehe we must've spent at least an hour resolving track issues... Trying to figure out weather our Track Plan had 2 straights or one straight and a curve. The sawmill was designed and operated by our President Dave D. He got sick the week of (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Pictures from VLC Surrey Museum Show

That is one of, if not the, best layout I've ever seen. I can tell a lot of work went into that. The only thing I could find wrong with it is the lack of more colors of certain roof pieces, which is, of course, the fault of LEGO Direct. I can't (...)   Re: Pictures from VLC Surrey Museum Show

(...) Wow! This is one of the nicest layouts that I've seen yet. I really like the way that the track wanders throughout the layout without being stuck to the edges of the tables. The working sawmill is very clever. I would like to hear more about (...) (21 years ago, 3-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Pictures from VLC Surrey Museum Show

(...) I like it! Particularly the hotel and the greenery. It reminds me of my two years in Vancouver, and of a song I haven't thought of in ages: There's a place in Vancouver you all know so well It's a place where they keep rotgut whiskey to sell (...) (21 years ago, 3-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Pictures from VLC Surrey Museum Show

(...) I think we started in March or so and some of the parts of the layouts took over a month to build individually. We had to set it up on the Friday from about 12:00 Noon till 5:30. (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Pictures from VLC Surrey Museum Show

(...) Astounding. Simply astounding. Any estimate of how many hours (research and construction) were involved? (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Pictures from VLC Surrey Museum Show

(URL) Our first show for 2003. It is a layout of Vancouver at the turn of the century to about 1930's. Details to follow if anyone has questions or comments. (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.ca) !!
