Any vibes on the number of grunts? number of heros? number (and dimensions)
of vehicles?

I'll Be bringing around 30 guys, some tanky things (If I build 'em in time)
some flittery things and of course space ninjas by the drop-pod loads (suit of
red pjs anyone?). The heavy infantry have just shown up, they look... heavy.

Cap'n Ahab sounds like he has a crew of about 35-40, with one capital ship.
Do we want to set that as the approximate size for each force?

Nup, bring what you like, if it's too big, we'll leave stuff out, if it's
really too big, we'll all play against you.

Arrrr etc etc.
The Cap'n is anticipatin' a ground battle, so the Saucy Sue will be 'is
base, methinks.  Which is rarver a pi'y really, all those grea' big ship
mounted weap'ns aren't much good unless the enemy is stupid enough to wander
across the ship'd centreline.

<snip massive destruction>

Still, thars the Cap'n 'is self, 'is few officer types, the especially cross
piratical space dudes (~30), three Mk II General Purpose Rowboats, and two
Mk V Attack Rowboats, (Rowboats being in the hovery/skiffy class).
Oh, and some technomage-y type.  Or maybe I'll just spooky up the Tanker
Babes.  Or maybe I induct a squad of Rourke's Rift British Soldiers, armed
with muskets, but all trained in the mindnumbing BCG, which leaves victims
transfixed, bunny-in-the-spotlight style.

Blood Chilling Glare (+3 CP)
The blood chilling glare, proudly perfected by Ancient Britsh Armed Forces
(and occasionally used by hollywood vampires) leaves the victim transfixed,
bunny-in-the-spotlight style. Used in close combat against an enemy (UR 2) the
opponent has no counter attacks and the user gets a +2 CC UR for the round
since his opponent is much easier to hit. Used against civilans or lower
ranking troops  within 6 studs (2") gives the affected troop a stupendous feat
as they are driven to perform under the fearsome gaze of a commanding officer.

I 'ope the battle goes well tho'.  Cap'n Ahab, 'e always leaves orders that
'if 'e don' return by sunset, the Saucy Sue is to take to space, and, in a
measured response to the loss of the Cap'n, destroy the planet.

Save the cactii!!! Abandon the planet!!!! Women and Lego first!!!

(...) Gentlemen, I am flattered at the prospect of the BCG being accepted as a battlefield weapon. And I plan to use it, obviously. Armed with muskets (bows and arrows against the light) no doubt the squad will go down in a heap. But it will be a (...) (24 years ago, 11-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)
