  Re: GBs, Valhalla and profiles

(...) So is it worth seeing? Should we organise another day-release from the clinic and see if we can beat the store managers to death with wads of cash?? (...) Just more SW LEGO. (...) that mean I need a plug-in of sorts? Pete Callaway (24 years ago, 13-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

  GBs, Valhalla and profiles

Evening all, As anticipated, we're talking the Pirates thingie, except with Vikings. This is the same display I saw at Erina Fair a few months ago. Eight or nine of those metre-ish square stalls. GBs are running a 20% of all Lego. Some 9v trains (...) (24 years ago, 13-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

(...) YDIFRC James -- thanks for your help. I'm now gazing lovingly at a copy of 6718. Playscene has quite a little hoard of old sets as well -- the lady behind the counter said they're not getting new stock until Lucas and Disney pull Lego back (...)   Re: 3 metre high mega-fig at TRU Parramatta

  Re: Penrith Plaza

(...) I'll second that, it was a good couple of hours of fun, and awesome bargains too. James, you're a scammer, and we love it!!!! 7144 was an added bonus. Having built it I've decided my next challenge after the B-Wing is to do a minifig scale (...) (24 years ago, 9-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

Good to catch up with you guys at Penrith Plaza yesterday. Special thanks to James for organising the price matching with Target - I've spent most of the weekend fixing my new X Wing ;-) I'll let you all know what the GB's 'show' has to offer once (...)   Re: Lego Shows and all that

(...) W4K is still there and happening, it is across the road from the plaza and is on the movie/theatre side of the plaza on the road that leads from the train station (within 100 metres of such). Apparently W4K's lease runs another 8 yrs so they (...) (25 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

Re: Lego Shows and all that

(...) I'll be there. Melissa and I will train over. We'll aim to be there at 10 wherever is decided. I'll take a moblie to do the yuppie "where are you? over here, wave!" thing. Oh, is W4K still there? (...) In the interests of fairness I agree with (...) (25 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

Re: Lego Shows and all that

(...) Well, for Penrith Plaza, how about this Saturday sometime, as it's on now!! Morning would probably be better as it frees up the afternoon. We could scope out the displays, buy more LEGO, loiter and generally make a nuisance of ourselves in the (...) (25 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

Re: Lego Shows and all that

Re: Lego Shows and all that

(...) Just a little bit of extra news: GBs Chatswood has a 60cm long model of an X-wing (not the 7191 unfortunately) for a "guess the number of pieces" competition. Not much of a display up around it -- I'll see if they've tidied things up later (...) (25 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

Re: Lego Shows and all that

(...) Further to James's information, an enquiry call to LA this morning (to get replacement parts for my 7171 and 7161!!! No printing on Anakin's podracer doors and Obi-Wan's face was missing!!!) yeilded a bit more information. Confirmed the GB's (...) (25 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

  Re: Pics Up!

James Howse wrote in message ... (...) I even almost liked the pic of me <shock horror>. Since I was behind my own camera I have, unsurprisingly, no shot of my own ugly mug. Three rolls of 24, and my 80% hit rate stands :-) PeterC, the B Wing shots came out very well, and there's even a hot shot of padewan Obi Wan. Over the next few days, I'll scan and (...)   Re: LegOz 2000.2 today

(...) Two big thumbs up from me too (even bigger than last time). Fantastic fun all day (it was too short, the hours just flew by), and I retired last night a tired but happy boy, dreaming sweet dreams of a world full of ABS... Points of note for me (...)
