Has anyone seen these sets for sale anywhere (preferably near Sydney)?

I'm particularly interested in 6748 Boulder Cliff Canyon, but any info would
be greatly appreciated.

Try playscene, mid city centre, george st IIRC they had some of these still.

YDIFRC James -- thanks for your help. I'm now gazing lovingly at a copy of
6718. Playscene has quite a little hoard of old sets as well -- the lady
behind the counter said they're not getting new stock until Lucas and Disney
pull Lego back onto its financial feet.

Interesting and rare sets they had:
8714   $14    (3 technic men) (plus more technic -- 8280, 8286, 8437, 8456)
2604   $179?? Flintstones Duplo (plus some other Duplo)
6493   $93    Flying Time Vessel (x2) (monkeys-yay, timmies-boo)
6337   $90    Octan racers
6555   $8     Treasure diver (x2)

... and the big find (at least I thought so)

6441   $115   Deep Reef Refuge (x7)

You can see an enthusiastic response to this set here:

Of course, some of that enthusiasm comes from paying US$20-30 for the set...

Hope this is all vaguely interesting.
