Contribute as much as you like, all opinions and tidbits of information and
availability of sets data is always welcome.

I guess you have followed the soccer yes/no debate in Australia.
It seems we have all these 'filters' that narrow the range, from the local
Lego Branch to the buyers for the chain stores right down to the smaller
toystores. We shouldn't get too feral, while Lego is our hobby, toy sales
are their careers and sales reports their make or break.

I finished my dark ages last year, but I haven't seen Scala and all I know
of Znap is the ng heading on Lugnet.(the others here will know).

The 8002 is $104-106 AUD here, which makes it similar with the exchange rate.

What sort of store/stores is the Warehouse ? Do independent toy stores survive
at all ? K-Mart here often have clearance items that are still slow to move
after the price chop, eg.7171 - $94.90 AUD, 5561 - $59.00 AUD and 7161 - $59.90
AUD. Please post any items like these and maybe we can arrange swaps.
Or if you find any older sets like paradisa/Belville let me know.

I can't remember any McDonalds in the last 2 years (my son is 2.5 yrs old).
If the shell sets are different we can swap as well (we collectively).
Have you guys ever got together over there.
It's important to keep our loc. groups chattering as that's the key to getting
any group pressure happening to get what we want from our favourite company.
There's nothing sadder than seeing an 'is there anyone out there' go
unanswered out in a loc. group.
keep contributing,
-pete.w (I wonder if you guys will get just the black/white soccer bus ?)

| (...) The Warehouse is a national chain with about 70 stores. They sell just about everything and have some good prices. LEGO however is similarly priced to what it is in other toy stores. Toyworld is a national chain as are Deka (old Woolworths) (...) (25 years ago, 15-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
