I read loc.au all the time as there is next to no activity in loc.nz. There
would be no more than six who have contributed to our group in the past.
The range available in each country is now very similar although it is rumoured
that seven of the Football sets will appear here in May. Last year we missed out
on one of the Rock Raiders sets plus one each small Adventurers and Space Port
sets. My wife picked those up when she visited Brisbane last year.
Up until this year we have had Scala but I believe it was not available in
Australia? Znap did not appear here.
I think prices are somewhat similar. For example, the regular price of the
Destroyer Droid is $119.95 NZD. This includes 12.5% GST. How does that compare?
Sales are few and far between. K-mart does 20% off about twice a year and The
Warehouse recently had 50% off last year's Star Wars sets. Perhaps I should be
sending pricing information like this to the group.
We have had the two lots of Shell promo sets including the Shell Shop 1254.
Mobil had four small Freestyle sets about four years ago and it has been a long
time since McDonalds had a LEGO promo!
