Perhaps this location, having a little more local colour (but still snow if
you like)
Deep in the middle of Queensbrik space, the sprawling colony of Mount Icer
squats like a really ugly canetoad. With nothing but asteroid mines and
wilderness space for light years around, it's a popular place to ride into
in one's space-ute and spend some hard earned brix.
Being the middle of a mining region, the town has several stockpiles of
useful materials, Biodium, Aquazone-crystals, Brickonium and Megabrickium
and (rumour has it) even some 1xn grey bricks! Further the abundance of such
materials prompts the development of more exotic stuff such as the fabled
Eludium-Q36 Space modulator, presided over by several egg-head scientisty
types. Of course the odd raid happens now and again but unfortunatly for the
local authorities this time several (conflicting) groups have all attacked
at once!

With multiple objectives (tailored to meet numbers) we can probably have
each player doing their own thing. Adding whether one has to destroy (easy),
capture (harder) or preserve (prevent either capture or destruction:
hardest) means we can make the game more difficult for the more experienced
or larger teams.
Each group can rationalise it's own objective (once allocated) regardless of
state or good/bad/ugly affiliation.
For example. Despite being Welshishish I could be given the mission to
protect Dr.Martian (creator of the Eludium-Q36) even though he is a
Queensbrik scientist because he's really a spy planted to steal industial
secrets (and good donut recipies).
Or someone from Briksbane might be required to destroy the Brickionium
stockpile to prevent it being stolen.
All we need then is some players (and troops) without dividing into "Good
and Evil" and some generic townish-warehouseish-science lab kinda scenery
I like the module idea, perhaps everyone should try and bring something
(especially non-brikwars Queenslanders who don't have to travel.

| <sorry, i snipped everything else> I like the sound of your scenario, James. I reckon we should all just rock up with our army, some snow terrain and scientific modules and just work out all the fine points on the day. It'd prolly be easier... Zac (23 years ago, 6-May-02, to lugnet.loc.au)
