Re: Goodbye Lego and thanks for all the bricks

(...) I heard Lego are developing a new operating system for their new line of Lego Notebook computers. I think their called Brickpads or something.. I'm Kidding. Microsoft doesnt make plastic construction bricks, Lego doesnt need to get involved in (...) (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego.direct)

I'm gonna stick my nose in here, and say I agree whole hartedly. besides that you can now save money :-) I haven't bought anything from lego in aprox 9 monthes. of coarse I'm going into my dark ages, so you might have different results with not (...) (...) Not answering for Lawrence; these are my opinions. After I read the catalog, I was struck (and dismayed) by one thing above all: No new major System theme entries for 2002, except Harry Potter (which debuted early for film schedule reasons). (...) (...) They do show some spark, but not quite enough. I have some interest in the squid vehicle, which uses some very un-lego-like elements, but I still like it because it has style up the wazoo. But after the whole Ogel's Control Center (...) (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: what makes a legend?

(...) Oh my, such a simple question, but with so many complicated ways to answer! This is like asking 'what makes a good wine', or 'what makes a good movie'... Good pieces, sure - but not everyone buys a set just for the pieces. Some people buys (...) (23 years ago, 21-Oct-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  New 2002 Soccer Sets

I just saw the images Tim posted from the new 2002 Lego lineup. The new soccer sets ((URL) and (URL) they've incorporated a lot of improvents over the originals (larger goal area, sliding fielders). Will Lego S@H offer any upgrade packs to those of (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Ages on shop.lego.com

Dear LD- On shop.lego.com, under Baby, Baby Toys, the ages listed for the sets is inconsistent... Some - like set 2522 list the age as 0.3-2 others, like set 2587 list the age as 6-24M The months designation is much clearer than the decimal one... (...)   Re: what makes a legend?

(...) Actually, it would be cool if along with the Ledgends sets there were acessory packs created at the same time as the sets. For example, if there were pieces in some older sets that weren't used in newer sets, but the molds still exist, the (...) (23 years ago, 25-Oct-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: New 2002 Soccer Sets

(...) Good idea -- in the meantime set 3421 looks like a fairly small set with two sliding plates. I don't think it has the new goals though. The oversized gloves in the goalie set 3422 look pretty cool too! --DaveL (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.sports)
