Re: Bad Policy #2 (Why all the secrecy, LEGO Direct?)

(...) There's nothing contradictory about that. What may have been a bestselling line in 1989 may have been losing container-shiploads by the mid-nineties. And this might have happened even if the design of the sets hadn't gotten progressively (...) (23 years ago, 14-May-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) I have to agree with you with this... I would like to see a return of town, but not a return of police, fire or emergency sets....I have 95 % of the police and fire sets (including 2 flame fighters, and about to have 2 6389's.)   Re: what makes a legend?

(...) This goes along with my idea of doing them in different colors! I wouldn't mind seeing improvements on older set designs and I wouldn't mind seeing some sets based on older designs (but different). I agree that lego designers should be able to (...)   Re: Bulk Bricks and LEGO auctions

Having taken both surveys - and thankful for the chance to express opinions - there is one facet that seems to have been "overlooked" in asking about motivations of buyers. Price. How about a "power buyer" category that qualifies for discounts? I (...) (23 years ago, 19-Feb-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

I don't see LDirect selling very many sets of red bricks at those prices, not when they're cheaper in bucket sets. Perhaps not even white or black. So, (...) Yes, yes, the rumors are true! We *will* be (re)issuing several "classic" sets later this year: three Pirates items (Red Beard Runner, Armada Flagship, and Enchanted Island); two Technic items (Pneumatic Front-End Loader and Forklift); the Octan Gas (...)
