Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

(...) How many people have posted (supporting your assumption) on this thread? How many people buy from S@H? (...) Maybe, but such people exist. I would suggest that not many 10 year olds would want that many. (...) Likewise someone building a (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: What's the good number for S@H now?

At least you got through with 1-800-453-4652! I have be trying all day to get through! At least 10+ times at 9am, 10am, 11am, 3pm and 5pm. All I get is busy signal. beep, beep, beep, beep, beep... Not good for sales... Loosing $... $... $... Build (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

(...) Well it seems to me that most of the posts (in terms of what people want to spend their money on) in this thread are supporting my assumption. Frankly I find it baffling that someone would not want at least 1,000 of any given basic piece. (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: What's the good number for S@H now?

(...) Can someone from LEGO Direct respond to this, please? I too tried to place an order today, and got nowhere. The item I want to order is a LSAH Special for this week. I can't order the LSAH Special item from the LEGO web site (it is shown as (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

(...) That was exactly my point though. The company could make MORE profit on bulk by reduceing the per unit cost but greatly increasing the volume produced. Everyone would be happy that way. (...) Even if by increasing volume they would be making (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: What's the difference between LD & S@H?

(...) Read this thread from July-2000 entitled (coincidently): "What's the difference between LEGO Direct and LEGO Shop At Home?" (URL) Docuette. (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

  What's the difference between LD & S@H?

I hate to sound naïve, but what’s the difference between LD & S@H? I’ve been a closet AFOL for a while, but I am fairly new to the ‘official’ community. I get a Lego catalog in the mail every couple of months but it tends to be just a watered down (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

(...) Why not both? (...) No, not exactly... but that's my job. (...) And so much more. If we're dreaming, why not dream big? In all seriousness, if LEGO can't offer better prices on bulk parts, then they at least need to do us the courtesy of (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

(...) Exactly, While I wouldn't downplay large bulk discounts, I would rather see Slopes and Plates in Lt Gray available soon this coming year! I hope everyone here is in agreement with me? :-) Slopes, Tiles, Plates, 1x3 bricks, 1x1 bricks, Is all I (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

(...) I couldn't agree more! I just ordered 1000 2x4 Bricks and they cost me more than when I used to oreder them. I would really like a real quanity discount instead of just item availability. Doyle (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: WHY SO LONG ON BULK BRICKS???? LEGO PLEASE READ!

(...) Tim may correct me (don't know if he reads this board, don't care enough to X-post it), but I'm pretty sure the catalog came out of a FBTB reader's Darth Maul or other new SW set, which was then mailed to Tim. The watermark is just Tim's usual (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)
