Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) Then there's the poor little kids who have jsut started building lego who get these cheap sets and when they get tired of them they go in the closet like any other toy, accept they fall apart. One reason for Lego's success is the (...) (23 years ago, 13-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Just as a note to why I (the author of this few pages of rage fueled text) dissappeared for a few days is that my computer was very unstable and my dad and had to rebuild it (which we've done successfuly) and add a new hard drive. I'll try to at (...) (23 years ago, 13-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) Uhg, now I'm depressed :-) But, no, really, I do like that polce HQ. It's got a similar feel to the buildings I make today. I *really* wish I had some of those older sets. (...) I'm no lawyer either, but for everyone participating it should be presumed that posting your work is almost like giving carte blanc to anyone (or any entity) wishing to "borrow" the idea.   now arriving for advance orders... metroliner and club car

As I'm sure everyone is now aware, the Metroliner (formerly 4558, now 10001) and Club Car (formerly 4547, now 10002) are the next arrivals in the LEGO Legends line. (...) more (...) The thing is that 6091 is 524 BIG JUNIORISED pieces (OK not all of them, but quite a few - grrr..), I assume bigger pieces cost lego more to produce (printed pieces probably do as well)...   Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) Agreed. And I would argue that the sets that LD has brought out so far under their aegis are hitting this mark quite well. LD gets it. LD knows what we want and LD is delivering.   Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) Just my two cents. I bought the green dragon. I found the set to be challenging, and a well designed set. Granted it is a little too cute for me, but still a nice design. On top of that, once you take it apart you have tons (tonnes) of green (...) (23 years ago, 13-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) OK. I'll defend the Camel as a good, even great, model, though. It isn't minifig scale but neither are other model team sets. It's a bit bigger scale than model team but it is along the same lines. I found it to be a very enjoyable build. (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) I guess that's true but I thought we were talking about instances where the TLG model was good. If we're talking about as a set of parts, then yes. (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) I think that Lego have got themselves into a viscious circle. For some reason they realeased Juniorised sets, these sets didn't sell as well as they hoped. So to make up for losses they've diluted their product range and created these sets (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)
